Happy December!

We have had a wonderful transition back from the Thanksgiving break! On Monday, we had our monthly Character Trait Assembly where we recognized students that demonstrated our November trait of Courage. Our Eagle Ambassadors then shared our December trait of Compassion and Empathy, including ways that we can show compassion and empathy to others. We are so fortunate to have our 5th grade student leaders that are teaching their classmates!

Throughout the month, we will also have some Spirit Days built in! Our first Spirit Day is tomorrow and the theme is Reindeer Games. Students are encouraged to share their team spirit with a jersey or other attire that represents their favorite game or team.

Just a reminder that Progress Reports will be available in ParentSquare on Friday, December 6. If you have any questions, just give us a jingle!

Wilson Ortho is thrilled to announce the winners of this year's Candy Buyback Program! Thank you to all the schools and students who participated in helping turn sweet treats into smiles. Together, we collected an incredible amount of candy to share with charity and our local fire department- and made a big difference in our community.

Here are this year's top schools:

1st Place: Mitch Charter School with a whopping 1,010 pounds of candy! They earn the $500 bonus prize.

2nd Place: Archer Glen Elementary brought in a sweet 161 pounds of candy! They earn the $300 bonus prize.

3rd Place: St. Anthony's with a generous 146 pounds of candy! They earn the $150 bonus prize.

With the bonus, Archer Glen earned $461!! Way to go Eagles!!

All volunteers need to complete and have an approved background check on file prior to volunteering (this must be renewed each school year). The background check process can take 7-10 business days, so please allow sufficient processing time if you are planning to volunteer for a specific event.
