What is PCP?
PCP also known as Phencyclidines was developed in 1950s as an anesthetic. This one drug is an illegal drug usually sold on streets. PCP is a white crystalline powder that can be dissolved in any liquid and has a bitter chemical taste to it. PCP can act like a stimulant, a depressant, an analgesic (decreasing pain), or a hallucinogen depending on how much is used.
Symptons of PCP
Some of the symptoms you may have are Catatonic Trance, Nystagmus, and Psychosis. Catatonic Trance is when your body does not react, talk, or move. This symptom may last hours or even days. Nystagmus is when your eyes move either side-to-side, up and down, or in circles. Psychosis is when you lose control of reality that usually includes: seeing or hearing things that are not there and having false beliefs
Street Names
There are many street names for this illegal drug. Phencyclidine (PCP) can also be known has Angel Dust, Wet, Peace Pill, Elephant Tranquilizer, and Embalming Fluid.
