Perfect Attendance 🌟
We want to continue congratulating those student that for the last 27 days have not missed one single day of school. STHS has 428 students that have not been absent a single day since they started school!

Congratulations to the CC had a great showing in the Alamogordo CC Invitational on Saturday, September 07. Girls Open Division: Karen Varela, 2nd; Boys Open Division: David Ballantine,1st & Saúl Hernandez, 3rd
Chronic Absenteeism📉
In comparison to last year, STHS has improved chronic abseentism. Our rate at the end of the month is at 21.46% compared to last year's August rate of 26.5%. This is only done with the hard work of everyone, teachers, students, and parents.

Boys Soccer
Congratulations to Coach Avalos and Athletes for taking 1st place in the tournament. All Tournament players were Diego Beker, Nathan Fuentes, and Zureck Pichardo. MVP was Daniel Garcia
Volleyball
Congratulations to Coach Arisumi and Athletes for taking the 3rd place in the Bronze Division in this weekend's tournament. Natalia 'Nati' River was MVP.
Girls Soccer
Congratulations to Coach Sanchez and Athletes for taking 2nd place in the tournament. Their overall record is now 4 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw. Kamilah Ramirez, Saile Portillo, and Kimberly Santoscoy were selected All Tournament.
Alumni Spotlight⭐
Maizie Arroyo
Ms. Maizie Arroyo is a member of the Tribe of 2010. Currently Ms. Arroyo is ST's Yearbook Advisor and Co-Sponsor of Student Council. Under her leadership the Yearbook was Nationally recognized and STHS has started some great new traditions. Most recently Ms. Arroyo is undertaking the Light Up the Night evening Pep Rally. Thank you Ms. Arroyo for what you do for STHS.

Pedro 'Pete' Sanchez
Member of the Tribe of 2007, Mr. Sanchez is currently serving as a Social Studies and as ST's Head Girls Soccer Coach. Under his leadership the Girls Soccer program earned the District Title in 2023. We look forward all future accomplishments. Thank you for giving back to your community Mr. Sanchez.

NHS Application for the 2024 - 2025 School year!
Only 10th, 11th, & 12th graders are eligible to participate in the NHS. 9th graders are welcome to apply next year!
- We are now accepting students with GPAs 3.0 +. Students with a GPA between 3.0 - 3.49 will be permitted to join under academic probation.
- Read the entire application and review the important deadlines. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- IF ACCEPTED, YOU MUST ATTEND THE INDUCTION CEREMONY TAKING PLACE ON OCTOBER 9th @5:00 PM
Evening Pep - Rally for Homecoming
In it's 30th year of Homecomings Santa Teresa High School is starting a new tradition. We will be having an evening Pep Rally: Light Up the Night @ Dream Catcher Stadium on September 18th. This will be a Community Event.
JOSTENS - Graduation Regalia
Tribe of 2025 Jostens is coming to STHS on September 9th for a presentation. This presentation will take place during 6th period. You must report to 6th period for attendance first then you will be called out via the intercom. Check your grade level Google Classroom to get the information on ordering dates.
Homecoming Dance '24 - Once Upon a Hoco
This year Homecoming will be the week of September 16th. The Dance is Sept 21st and tickets go on sale Monday September 9th for $25 a person! You can buy with Ms. Arroyo or Mr. Pacheco before or after school next week!
