Happy New Year, and welcome back Phoenix!

We are excited to move forward with the second half of the school year. We want to say congratulations to the six graduates that we have had so far this school year! We wish them the best and are excited to have them walk across the stage in May.

As we remind ourselves about this semester, please keep in mind a couple of things:

• Classes start at 9am. Students should be in their designated classrooms before 9am.
• Absences are considered unexcused unless a note or proper documentation is provided. Phone calls and handwritten letters do not count as excuses.
• Upon dismissal for the day, please make sure that students are being picked up on the street by the lower side of the building.

Our next family engagement night will be Friday, February 7th. We will be renting out a theatre in Tinseltown! If you and your family would like to go, please RSVP with Mrs. Flores by calling 719-391-3121. You MUST be on the RSVP list to attend! We will be watching Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and the event starts at 5:30pm. We hope to see you all there!

If you would like to take night classes this quarter, there are THREE options to choose from!

1.) Forensics with Mrs. Staggs

• 0.5 Math credit
• Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

2.) Forensics with Mrs. Thomas

• 0.5 Science credit
• Mondays & Wednesdays from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

3.) World History with Mrs. Quirk (from Mesa Ridge High School!)

• 0.5 History credit
• Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Our hexter 4 foundations students are stepping into the circle today! This is their time to show us that they want to be a part of our school and our culture. Once students step over the rope, they are considered part of the Discovery program. Congratulations all!

Students started the first Fun Friday of the year with Pictionary, karaoke, coloring, and more!
