Dear OLA School Community,

We would like to share with you that Our Lady of the Angels will have a new administrative team for the 2025–2026 school year. Mrs. Yuzdepski will be retiring after many blessed years in Catholic education, and Mrs. Bennett will be stepping away to welcome the joyful gift of maternity leave.

As we prepare to pass on the school's leadership to a new team, we do so with full confidence in the future. We are delighted to announce that Mrs. Ciara Smith will serve as school principal, and Ms. Barbara Zabolotniuk will step into the role of assistant principal. Their passion for Catholic education, commitment to student learning, and love of community will be a great blessing to OLA.

It has been an absolute privilege to journey with this incredible school community over the past few years. OLA is truly a special school that is filled with faith, love, laughter, and the unmistakable presence of Christ in our daily lives. We are so thankful for the many memories, milestones, and moments of grace shared with our students, staff, and families.

Thank you for the love, prayers, and support you have shown us. You and your children will forever hold a special place in our hearts. May God continue to bless this beautiful community as it grows in faith, hope, and love.

Please ensure you have completed your students Next Year Intentions on PowerSchool. Simply log on to PowerSchool and on the main page of each student you will find an orange box with a link to Review Next Year Intentions Information.

When you click the link, ensure that the grade is correct for the next school year, that the school is accurate, and choose Yes or No. When complete click Submit. There will be a Next Year Intentions for each of your students if applicable. This process provides Elk Island Catholic Schools with critical planning information. Joining School Council meetings allows you to work closely with parents, teachers and the school leadership team to plan and implement enhanced programming and special events for students and our school community!

Healthy Schools is a commitment by government to support student health & learning outcomes by encouraging schools to adopt a comprehensive school health approach to promote student wellness through increased levels of physical activity, healthy eating and positive mental health.

Through this program your student will be provide with a healthy snack every day.

For student's with allergies we will providing an alternative snack that is allowed with in their restrictions. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help with this program please contact Mrs. Rumley in the office.

Our Lady of the Angels Parish

A jubilee is a special celebration, renewal, and forgiveness period rooted in religious and secular traditions.
