Guten morgen! Come one come all to celebrate German Octoberfest at the International Club on Wednesday, October 23rd after school at 3:30 in room 627. Come enjoy German music, games and SNACKS, having fun in the German tradition!
- Roswell Girls’ Basketball team will be having tryouts Monday October 21 and Tuesday October 22 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. You must have a completed RankOne profile to tryout.
- The Roswell girls basketball team is looking for team managers for the 2024-2025 season. Applicants must be dedicated, reliable, and responsible. If interested, please see Ms. Lewitt in room 808 on the math hall before or after school.
- Today is eleventh grade device check. Advisement teachers, forms are in your mailboxes. If you have a student with any device issues listed on your form, please have them fill it out and bring the form along with their device to IT.
- As Veterans Day approaches, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your service. Your dedication and sacrifice have made a lasting impact, and we are honored to have you as part of our Roswell High School! We would love to celebrate and recognize you during the Veterans Day holiday. Please let us know if you are comfortable with us doing so, as we want to ensure this recognition is meaningful and respectful to you. - JROTC will host ASVAB CEP (Career exploration program) testing on Nov 14th, 2024, in the auditorium at 8:30 am for all 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. All students in the grades mentioned are encouraged to take the ASVAB as ASVAB CEP results give students a current snapshot of their skill levels so they may improve their performance on high stakes standardized tests. You may even discover your strengths in areas that can lead to a future career. ASVAB CEP is not all about the Military; it’s about options. Anyone interested in taking the ASVAB CEP, please get in touch with CSM Mitchell
- Attention staff and students! Join us in celebrating AVID Day here at RHS on Friday, October 25th! Show your college spirit by wearing your favorite college swag—t-shirts, sweaters, hoodies, or any gear that represents your favorite institution! - Wednesday marked the beginning of Red Ribbon Week in Fulton County. This year's theme is "Life is a movie, film drug free." It is a call to action to speak out in support of healthy choices. Please wear red next Wednesday, October 30th to support Red Ribbon Week.
- It is day 2 of Red Ribbon Week. The theme is a reminder that by staying drug free you are sending a message to yourself and others about how much you value yourself, your overall health, your community, and your future. Remember to wear red next Wednesday to show your support!
- Happy Red Ribbon Week! Staying drug free means investing in your current and future health. You don't have to use drugs to fit in. Make smart choices this weekend!
- Kudos to our CBI who competed at Milton High School in the Special Olympics Bocce Ball event. Let’s come together to congratulate them and to show our support for their hard work and dedication. Go team!
- For girls who are interested in playing golf this spring, there will be an informational meeting with Coach Brickhouse in room 144 on Friday, October 11 at 8:00am.
- Roswell High School Girls basketball team tryouts will take place October 21st and 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. In order to tryout, you must have a current physical and a complete rank-one profile. If you have any questions, please see Coach Moore in room 826.
- Please join us for the DECA ice cream social makeup date this Wednesday Oct. 9th from 3:30- 4:30 in room 282
- Applications are due for the National Honor Society this Friday by 4 p.m. Remember you must complete both forms to be considered. A 5-person committee will review all applications, and selected candidates will be notified before thanksgiving break. If you have additional questions, please go see Mrs. Fereq in room 603!
- We are excited to announce the formation of our new Roswell JROTC Rifle Team! This is a fantastic opportunity for all participants to develop marksmanship skills, discipline, and teamwork. Whether you are an experienced shooter or a complete beginner, we welcome you to join us. The meeting will be held Wed Oct 9th at 3:45pm in room 186 which is located in the JROTC classroom. The rifle team is not only for JROTC but any student attending Roswell High School. If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please contact SFC Smith in room186. We look forward to seeing you there and building a strong, competitive team together.

- For any boys interested in playing on the RHS boys tennis team, there will be a meeting at 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday September 17 in Room 616, Coach Bryan’s Rolm.
- Are you looking for a way to volunteer? Do you like to give back to the community? If so, Roswell Interact is meeting Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7:50 in room 728. Come and check out what we do!!
- Attention Juniors and Seniors interested in joining the Science National Honor Society. We will have an informational meeting at 7:50 am on Thursday, September 19th in Ms. Glover's Room (#912). Open officer positions will be filled.
- Staff and Students, on Thursday, September 19th, AVID would love for you to join us by wearing college swag. Wear your favorite college shirt and show your college spirit.
- DECA is hosting a sanitary drive to benefit the Drake House. Please donate items such as shampoo, baby diapers, cleaning products, or body wash. The collection boxes are in the hall or in room 282 until Sept. 28th Thank you for your support!
- Muslim Student Association is having an informational meeting this Thursday the 19th after school in room 829. All are welcome!
- National English Honor Society will hold its first meeting on Thursday, September 26 after school in Room 508. If you have one year of high school ELA with a 3.0 or higher and are interested in becoming a part of this service and literary awareness society, join us for our first meeting to find out more! - The GSA, Gender and Sexualities Alliance meets every Tuesday morning, from 7:50-8:15 in Mrs. Boyd's room, room 718. Mrs. Boyd and Ms. Patterson welcome everyone to the meetings. It is a great place to talk, snack, and create community! We hope to see you there!

- Attention Gamers and eSports Enthusiasts! Are you ready to level up your gaming skills and compete at the highest level? Join us for an informational startup meeting on Monday, September 9th, right after school in classroom 910 of the science hall. Meet Coach Chiclana and get the inside scoop on this season’s games, team setup, and all the exciting plans we have in store. This is your chance to showcase your gaming talent and represent Roswell High School in thrilling competitions against other high schools across Georgia. - All girls interested in trying out for girls soccer this year need to attend a meeting on Thursday September 12th in room 144. There will be 2 meetings, one at 7:50am and one at 3:35pm, players interested must attend one of those 2 meetings. Please see Coach Desing if you have any questions.
- Hornets! Homecoming will be the Weekend of October 4-5 and it's time to nominate your friends and classmates to be on Homecoming Court. Nominations will be open until Sunday at 11:59pm. Scan the QR codes posted around the school or look for the link on the student council Instagram to enter your nomination!

- This is a friendly reminder that device checks for 11th and 12th graders will take place on Monday, September 23rd, during advisement. Teachers, please pick up the forms in your mailboxes. For 9th and 10th grade teachers who missed the device checks on Monday the 16th, please grab the forms from your mailbox and send any students with issues to IT. These device checks are mandatory as per county regulations. (09/20/24--09/23/24)

- Any Roswell students interested in swimming for the Hornet Swim and Dive team, a student interest meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15th at either 7:45 AM or 3:35 PM in room 820. You are only required to come to either the morning or afternoon meeting, not both. Hope to see you there and GO HORNETS!
- All girls trying out for tennis must attend a meeting on Wednesday Aug. 14th at 7:40 in the morning in room 287 for try out information. Talk to Coach Shackelford if you have any questions.
- All young men interested in playing basketball need to attend a meeting on Tuesday, Aug 13 in Coach Phillips' Room, 719. You may attend either the 8:00am or 3:35pm meeting. Fall sport athletes should attend the morning meeting.
- If there are students who have not received a device during deployment, please come by the media center on Tuesday Aug. 13th between 11:30-1:30 to receive a device.
- 9th graders, if you are interested in joining student council, please plan on attending our first meeting in Room 282 on August 20th. Interest forms for being a representative or an officer are outside room 552. If you have questions, please see Mrs Hartigan
- There will be a meeting for all potential 2025 baseball players in room 144 this Thursday. The meeting will begin at 7:50AM. Please reach out to Coach McCarthy if you have any questions.

- Reading bowl is an Academic Bowl style reading competition that will be held in January against other high schools in the metro Atlanta area. Come and be a part of the newly formed Roswell High school reading bowl team! If you are an avid reader with a thirst for competition. Please see Mrs. Kowalske in the media center for more information about joining the team!
- All girls interested in playing girls lacrosse this season, please plan to attend a player/parent
- TAG Seminars begin in study hall the week of August 19th. 9th grade students will receive a pass through their 4th period teacher on Thursday August 15th. Upperclassmen can register Thursday August 15th through the TAG website. Please check your school email THURSDAY for the link to register.
- Attention anyone interested in Playing Girl's Basketball!!!!There will be an interest meeting on Tuesday August 20 in the morning at 7:45 am or right after school in Coach Moore's room 826. You only have to attend one of the planned meetings.
- Calling all trivia nerds! Do you excel at remembering random facts about literature, history, science, geography, or other academic subjects? Then join the Academic Bowl Team! Impress your fellow nerds with your unparalleled command of useless knowledge. Help our team to win in competitions against other schools. First practice is on Friday in room 711. 711, like the convenience store. See Mr. Waldroup if you have any questions.

If you are planning on placing a flyer in the hallways to advertise your club, you must have it approved by Mrs. Routt in the AP office and stamped with the official Roswell "R". All flyers that are found in the hallway that have not been approved with be removed. Thank you for your cooperation!
- Math Honor Society interest meeting on Thursday August 22nd before school, 7:45 AM in Mrs. McIlroy's room 822. Come to find out about scholarships, tutoring service opportunities, math competitions, and elementary school partnerships to help kids love math! See flyers in the halls for details.

- Any student who has a library or textbook from last year, please turn them in to Mrs. Michaud in the media center.
- Next Monday device checks will begin during advisement. This month all advisement teachers will be conducting the check. Please check your mailboxes for device check forms.
- 9th graders- voting for your class officers is live in Naviance. Please check your school email to register your vote! Voting ends Monday 8/26.
- The media center will open for lunches starting Monday Aug 26th Students will need to come by the media center in the morning before 1st period to get a pass. Students without a pass will not be admitted into the media center during lunch.
- French National Honor Society members: Please join us for a back to school breakfast in Mme Bell's room at 7:50 on Monday, August 26. Enjoy a French breakfast while we discuss activities for the upcoming year.
