PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DATES FOR THE JH AND VARSITY TRACK MEETS HAVE CHANGED.
VARSITY WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY.
JH WILL BE ON THURSDAY.
DISTRICT TRACK MEET IN EDEN
The junior high district track meet will be in Eden on Thursday, April 3 beginning around noon. The sophomore class will have the concession stand open at the field.
Come out and support our junior high athletes and our sophomore class.
We will NOT have an early release. However, if you would like to pick up your students after 12:00 for the track meet, please come by the office to sign them out.
7th GRADE FIELD TRIP
COLLEGE TOUR
Seniors will be touring the campus of Howard College on Friday, April 11.
Juniors will visit TSTC in Abilene on Wednesday, April 16.
Sophomores will head to Angelo State University on Thursday, April 24.
Freshmen will tour Howard Payne University on Friday, April 25.
8th grade will be touring the campus of Angelo State University on May 7.
CONGRATULATIONS MOSES LOZANO
Congratulations Moses Lozano for receiving the Panhandle-Plains Higher Education Foundation's Windmill Scholarship in the amount of $3000. The award is renewable for up to 4 years or his first bachelor's degree. Moses will be attending The University of Texas Austin in the fall. Go Longhorns and Go Moses!!
PreK-2nd Grade Field Trips
PreK-2nd grade students have two field trips coming up. They are scheduled to visit the Donkey Rescue and go to a park for a picnic on April 10. They will be going to the Abilene Zoo on April 30.
CONGRATULATIONS ONE ACT PLAY
Our One Act Play team competed in Bi-District last week. Katelynn Clarke was named All Star Cast, and Emma Sperry was named All Star Cast Honorable Mention.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THURSDAY, MAY 8 TO SEE THIS PLAY ON STAGE IN EDEN.
DRESS CODE REMINDERS
Just a few dress code reminders as we head into Spring:
* Bangs must be above the eyebrows.
* Students must be clean-shaven.
* Shorts and skirts for secondary students may be no shorter than 5 inches above the knee when standing up straight.
* Shorts and skirts for elementary students must be fingertip length when standing up straight.
* When wearing tight fitting spandex/leggings, the shirt or top must follow the above guidelines (5 inches above knee for secondary students and fingertip length for elementary).
* If there are holes or tears higher than 5 inches above the knee in jeans/pants, leggings must be worn underneath.
* Shirts/tops must cover the abdomen at all times.
SPRING PICTURES
Individual spring pictures were taken on March 13. The photographer will be back on April 3 to do a group picture of each grade level.

HELP FCCLA GO TO STATE
- FCCLA is selling mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes to raise money for their trip to State. Cakes are $8 each. Please contact an FCCLA member or Mrs. Estrada to purchase cakes. Paid orders are due by April 1. Cakes will be delivered on April 8.

DRESS CODE FOR PROM
DRESS CODE
Prom is a formal occasion. Students dressed inappropriately will be turned away at the door. Students will not be admitted wearing t-shirts, “polo” style shirts, cargo pants, shorts, or any other casual attire.
Dress code for Young Men:
· Tuxedo, dress pants, or dark jeans
· Dress shirt (with collar and buttons). Shirt must be buttoned at all times.
· Tie
· Jacket and/or vest
· Dress shoes or boots
Dress code for Young Ladies:
· Dress, gown, or pantsuit that is formal or dressy in style with dress shoes (may bring comfortable shoes for dancing).
· Dress may not be cut below the bustline on the front or sides (with arms down at sides, flesh may not touch flesh below the bust line).
· Shoulders and/or mid-back may be bare. However, backs cannot be cut below the navel line as it extends around to the back.
· Dress may not be shorter than fingertips extended. Slits may not be higher than fingertips extended (fingertips extended means standing straight up with arms straight at your side).
· Dress may be two-piece with no more than 1 inch of midriff exposed when arms are extended down at sides.
· Areas of “see through/sheer” fabric must follow the same guidelines as areas of bare skin. If you cannot have bare skin visible in that area, neither may you have see through/sheer fabric.

Please mark the following dates on your calendars for upcoming STAAR tests. These next few weeks we will be reviewing the skills and standards students have learned all year in preparation for their end of year exams.

COME TO THE EDEN DINNER THEATRE
On Thursday, May 8, the Eden Theatre Department and FCCLA are teaming up to provide dinner and entertainment.
FCCLA will prepare dinner.
The junior high theatre class will present "The Monsters Under the Bed."
The OAP team will present "How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse."
