Sources of Strength Giving Tree a Success!
The Sources of Strength Giving Tree donation drive was a success! Students collected much needed items for the Christine Ann center. They were able to choose an ornament off the tree and each item was worth points. As items came in, they were tallied by Fox time and the Fox Time with the most points won a breakfast put on by SOS!
Here are the FINAL NUMBERS:
Schumacher: 427
Douglas: 302
Turner: 76
King: 60
Ransom: 36
Hugo: 35
Jentz: 21
Whitney: 6
Morse: 4
Mr. Schumacher's Foxtime will be getting an SOS breakfast Wednesday 1/8. Honorable mention to Mr. Douglas's Foxtime for their fierce generosity two years in a row and Mr. Turner's freshmen for showing up the seniors.
A BIG thanks to the generosity rockstars at Omro High School who donated a truckload of critical items for the Christine Ann Center.
SOS would like to remind you that generosity and gratitude are a great way to feel connected and build community beyond the holiday season. Take care of yourself and others!
Mrs. Morse's Culinary Class Caters Holiday Event at Menominee Park Zoo
Mrs. Morse's Culinary Arts class was asked to help cater cupcakes for the "Beary-Foxy" Festive Holiday Event held at Menominee Park Zoo on Sunday, December 15. The class baked 12 dozen cupcakes and decorated them to represent the new additions joining the zoo- Mr. Reeves (black bear) and Mellie, Joey, and Apollo (3 feisty foxes). It was a great experience for the students and a nice opportunity to help give back to the community.
Biology Students Become Microscope Experts
Sophomores at OHS had fun learning how to use microscopes in the lab. They can make their own slides, stain specimens for viewing, and observe the behavior of living microorganisms. One student made a slide of the underside of a fern leaf and captured beautiful plant cells.
Senior Band Students Spread Holiday Cheer with Christmas Music for Elementary Schools
Band seniors visited the elementary schools and played holiday songs for them. It was fun to hear the students sing along!
Snack Attack Trolley
Students in Mrs. Piper's class are thrilled to share some exciting news regarding their Life Skills/Vocational Skills class. They have received approval to launch their very own business, the "Snack Attack Trolley"! This initiative not only provides a fantastic learning opportunity for the students but also allows them to serve their school community.
Starting in December, they began taking the trolley around during 6th - 8th hours to sell snacks to staff. Staff can purchase a punch card for either $5 or $10. When orders are placed, they will come to your classroom to deliver your snacks and punch your card, making the process quick and efficient!
We look forward to continued success with this endeavor!
Geode Crushing
Cocoa and Coloring
Senior Advisors hosted the senior class during Fox Times to enjoy "Cocoa and Coloring". Students enjoyed hot cocoa and either colored holiday pictures or created 2025 Locker Spirits this past Tuesday and Thursday before the holiday break. A good bonding time for this year's seniors as they are shortly approaching their last semester at Omro High School.
IN THE KNOW
Cold Weather Student Preparedness
With the colder weather here, it is important that students do NOT arrive to school before the doors open at 7:30am. Students are not allowed in the building prior to the doors being opened. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. They can always change once they arrive at school, but should have warmer clothes to and from school and to keep in their locker.
For our bus riders also, please make sure your child is dressed for the weather as bus emergencies can and do happen. It is best to always be prepared! Thank you!

New Omro High School Counselor - Heather LaFleur
Hello Omro High School Families!
My name is Heather LaFleur and I am the new School Counselor here at Omro High School. I am super excited to be here! A little bit about me and my family. My husband's name is Josh and we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in 2025. We have a daughter named Megan and she is 22 years old and she graduated from UW Green Bay last year. She is interested in Counseling as well, but she is taking a little break and will head back to school next Fall for her Master’s. We have a son named Sam and he is 19 years old. He is still undecided on what he wants to be when he grows up, so he is working full time and saving all of his money for school in the future. We have a Golden Retriever named Phoebe and she is 1.5 years old. She is the sweetest girl and we all love her so much. We love to spend time together as a family and travel and just hang out with each other.
I am really looking forward to meeting all of you! Have a safe and happy holiday season!
