Please check your graded Discussions by accessing your gradebook.

• Discussions that are marked with an X are incomplete and are scored zero points.
• It is necessary for you to revise/redo any discussions that are marked incomplete and resubmit your new response to your cohort leader through Canvas.
• Reminder: One of the criteria for successful completion (passing) of the academy requires that all Discussions have earned a grade of Complete (checkmark).

Follow this How to Set Up Notifications Video or contact your cohort leader to set up your notifications in Canvas.

1. Set Announcements to notify immediately (the checkmark) so you will receive all messages from your cohort leader
2. Set Grading to notify immediately (the checkmark) so you will receive an email when you receive a grade
3. Set Submission Comment to notify immediately (the checkmark) so you will receive any comment a grader provides to you

A Reminder for Biliterate Participants (Bilingual Teachers):

• Return to Home after you complete each Module
• If you do not return to Home after each Module, then you are doing the Module twice because it will take you through the ELAR and SLAR when you use the Next button
• Biliterate Participants should use the Home option, then click on Module, then choose the module under the Biliterate section/side of the list

An update for Administrators:

• Your data Artifact falls at the midpoint of Module 4
• You will have to submit your Artifact before you are able to complete the module 4 and the post-test for Module 4
• Artifact Support Meetings are listed on the October Support Meeting Schedule
• The suggested timeline for Administrators has been adjusted to allow adequate time to complete Module 4 and the Artifact (All of Module 5 will be completed in November).

Reminder: The Teacher Reading Academy Timeline and the Updated Administrator Reading Academy Timeline contain suggested completion dates for each of the modules. Participants who follow the suggested timeline will be completing about 2 modules a month, which is an estimated time commitment of 6-12 hours a month depending on learning style.

Reminder: All Teacher and Administrator Reading Academy participants must meet the following requirements to successfully complete the academy and earn credit:

• Each discussion successfully completed indicated by a grade of "Complete"
• 80% or higher on each Check for Understanding
• 80% mastery or higher on Cohort Leader graded artifacts
• Meet the TEA Guidelines for the completion of Modules and Submission of Artifacts (listed below and in the suggested timeline)

Participants who score below an 80% on any Module Check for Understanding will need to continue to reattempt the CFU until the score is 80% or higher. For participants who score below an 80% on Module Post-test, it is highly recommended that you complete the extra credit activity for that module to ensure that you maintain above an 80% for the course. Extra Credit activities will be released in the coming weeks.

Teacher Participants

1. Modules 1-6 and Phonological Awareness Video Artifact must be submitted prior to February 10, 2021. No submissions will be accepted after February 10, 2021.
2. Modules 7-12 and Summative Artifact must be submitted prior to the last day of your 2020-2021 Aldine Contract. No submissions will be accepted after July 14, 2021.

Administrator Participants

1. Modules 1-4 and Data Artifact must be submitted prior to February 10, 2021. No submissions will be accepted after February 10, 2021.
2. Modules 5-12 and Summative Artifact must be submitted prior to the last day of your 2020-2021 Aldine Contract. No submissions will be accepted after July 14, 2021.

Reminder: All Teacher and Administrator Reading Academy participants must meet the following requirements to successfully complete the academy and earn credit:

• Each discussion successfully completed indicated by a grade of "Complete"
• 80% or higher on each Check for Understanding
• 80% mastery or higher on Cohort Leader graded artifacts

Participants who do not meet these requirements will be re-enrolled in the Reading Academy in the 2021-2022 school year with the expectation of completing all the coursework and artifacts again.

• Use the study guides for each module (included in the PPT) as note-taking guides and/or review prior to completing the post-test.
• Attend an open zoom meeting or specific support meeting with your cohort leader to get support or ask questions.
• Take your time as you proceed through the content to ensure that you have adequate time to process the information and implement this learning on your campus.
