From the Principal's Desk
Hello Rose Pioneer Families,
Second trimester report cards are posted and can be viewed in Skyward Family Access. Please contact the main office if you are having difficulty logging in to view your child's report card. If you have any questions regarding your child's report card or grades, please contact his/her teacher for more information.
Thank you to everyone who joined our Fairy Tale Mystery Family Night on Tuesday! Mrs. Putnam, Mrs. Szokola and several staff members did a great job bringing the fairy tale mystery to life as families traversed the building reading, writing, interviewing witnesses, and gathering clues. The mystery will be solved and the thief or thieves revealed at our school-wide LEAD Assembly on Friday. Winners who solved the mystery will be drawn and three lucky students will win gift certificates to purchase a book of their choice.
Thank you also to all families who attended our Y5 and Kindergarten Enrollment Event last evening. We enjoyed meeting with you, answering questions, touring the building and highlighting our outstanding school. If you know of anyone who has a student entering Y5s or Kindergarten this fall, please provide them with the information below and encourage them to reach out with any questions and/or a tour of the school!
Below, you will find the temporary bus cancellation schedule. The routes highlighted in green are Rose Pioneer bus routes. Our next route cancellation is route 34 this coming week 3/24 - 3/28. Please use the carline to drop off and pick up students. Preschool students must be signed into and out of school but all other students, Y5-5th grade, are to be dropped off and picked up curbside in front of the building. Other than preschool parents, please do not park and walk your child to class or attempt to walk up to the carline staff to retrieve your student at the end of the school day. Simply stay in the carline and approach curbside; it really does move along quickly and safely.
If you aren't already connected, please like Rose Pioneer Elementary School on Facebook and @RosePioneerEl on Twitter.
Thank you for reading and have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Michael Beattie

THE LEADER IN ME
- Habit 6 Synergize
Synergizing means together is better. Synergy is achieved through two or more people working together to create a better solution than either would have thought of alone. It’s not your way or my way, but a better way. An important part of being able to synergize is the ability to value differences and diversity in thinking.
Ways to practice Synergy at home: Cook a meal together and assign everyone a job to do, work together to plan a fun afternoon that everyone can enjoy, or create/build something new.
