What is happening in 4th Grade in January!
🐾🦮🐩How can you help the Colonial Capital Humane Society?🐶🐕🐩
Hi, parents! This week, we have been reading a selection about a dog named Sweet Potato that a family adopts from an animal shelter. Tomorrow, the Colonial Capital Humane Society will be visiting our class to talk about how the Humane Society cares for animals that do not have homes. We would love your help! We want to collect items to donate to the Humane Society to show our support for the work they do in our community. Please see the attached flyer. Any donations are appreciated.
Creekside Students Experience the NC Symphony
On Thursday, January 16, our 4th-grade students had the incredible opportunity to attend the NC Symphony at GCF Middle School. The students were amazed by the beautiful sounds of the instruments and the stunning works of art performed for them. Many students remarked that the musicians must have practiced for a long time to achieve such excellence.
The conductor enriched the experience by sharing information about each piece selected, engaging the students and encouraging them to interact with the music. It was a fantastic learning experience that left our students inspired and excited about music.
We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity and proud of our students for their enthusiasm and engagement. What a memorable day for our Creekside 4th graders!
