Week of September 30
There is no place like HOMEcoming 2024
San Marcos High School celebrated Rattler traditions all week long for the annual Homecoming week. SMCISD alumni reconnected with their alma mater, through a community-wide decorating contest hosted by the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to all businesses who participated in the 'Rally for the Rattlers" campaign!
Huge shoutout to Mrs. Muzquiz, Mrs. Knight, Mrs. Hardy and the hardworking members of the SMHS Student Council for organizing a week of festivities that honored past, present, and future Rattlers! Your efforts do not go unnoticed and we thank you for fostering spirit and pride within the community!

SMCISD October Celebrations
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month strives to raise awareness about breast cancer, its impact, and the importance of early detection and treatment. Please join us in wearing pink or the iconic pink ribbon every Wednesday in October and at the home football game vs. Judson on Friday, Oct. 18. We honor the survivors, remember those lost, and are united in the fight against breast cancer.
Additionally, October is also recognized as Dyslexia Awareness Month. This initiative aims to raise awareness about dyslexia, a common learning difference that affects reading, writing, and spelling. It's a time to educate the public, support those with dyslexia, and promote effective strategies and resources for individuals, families, and educators.
