The Roadrunner Report
May 13th, 2024
It's the LAST WEEK of school!
Greetings Roadrunners,
I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you. The last week of school is upon us, and what a journey it has been!
Throughout this academic year, we've witnessed incredible growth, both academically and personally, in our students. Their achievements, big and small, have filled our halls with pride and joy. It wasn't all just during the school day either! It was the first year that the BizTown opportunity came to Mirage, we had a stellar STEAM Night, Family Art Night was spectacular, our Veterans Day was incredibly prideful, and we had so many absolutely awesome PTSA events! Not to mention, Student Council, Band, Choir, STEAM Club and Run Club were outstanding and allowed for so many extracurricular memories to me made! Students went on very cool field trips far and near. Our Polar Express Day was so wonderful and our Day of Awesomeness was nothing short of...well...awesome! We even earned our first ever whole school Rock Paper Scissors Championship based on meeting behavior goals! What about our Literacy Week at the school FLY OVER?? We could go on and on! How amazing was that? None of this would have been possible without your unwavering support, encouragement, and partnership.
As our students prepare to embark on a well-deserved summer break, I encourage you to cherish these final days together. Make memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it's a family vacation, a day at the park, or simply enjoying each other's company at home, I hope you find moments of laughter, relaxation, and connection.
Reflecting on the memories we've created this school year fills me with gratitude. From the heartwarming performances to the exciting classroom projects, every experience has shaped our school community in profound ways. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. It has been an honor and privilege to serve as your principal.
As we bid farewell to this school year, I want to express my deepest appreciation for your continued support, understanding, and dedication to Mirage Elementary School. Together, we have navigated challenges and celebrated triumphs, and I am confident that our partnership will only grow stronger in the years to come.
Wishing you and your family a safe and rejuvenating summer filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. May you return refreshed and ready for new adventures in the upcoming school year.
With warm regards,
Bobbi Cerro Proud Principal Mirage Elementary School

End Of Year PTSA Yearbook Signing Party for Students!
May 15th during the school day!
Parents and Guardians!
PTSA has planned a yearbook signing extravaganza for the students on Wednesday, May 15th. It's ok if they didn't buy a yearbook! The PTSA will be providing autograph books for any student who doesn't have a yearbook. They will also have crafts, a sundae bar, and a photographer to capture memories! Not only that! Students with big bucks (RULE Tickets) will be able to pay to dunk Mrs. Cerro or Mrs. Gross in a dunk tank, or pay to throw a pie at Mr. Caccavale. Thank you, PTSA, for everything you did this year, and for this awesome End of Year party!
Please be sure your kids are prepared to be in the sun and have water! It'll be a warm afternoon!
