Marlowe Message 11.22
Let's dive into 24 - 25! Making Waves with Mustangs
A message from the Admin
Another great week at Marlowe of learning and after school activities! This week our Ecology club started up and is looking at ways to impact the environment around Marlowe. Our basketball teams had two home games, which brought continued wins. Boys Basketball is looking strong this year! Student experienced some fun learning opportunities to wrap up the week before Thanksgiving.
Parent teacher conference sign ups are closed via sign up genius. Please email the teachers directly now to see if they have any last minute availability. During conferences our Instructional coaches and counselors will have some drop in "Parent Universities" to learn more ways to support your students. See below in the important information section for additional information.
There will not be another newsletter the week of Thanksgiving so we hope you all have a wonderful time with your families and a Happy Thanksgiving. Looking forward to seeing your students after a rested and deserved break.

These areas are aligned with our District Mission: Our learning community will inspire, challenge and empower all students always. Please consider completing this google form nomination linked here. Staff who are nominating will receive a certificate along with a small token of appreciation from the Marlowe admin team.

STAR Testing
Marlowe students participate in Star Testing three times throughout the year. Our winter testing will take place starting the week of December 2nd. We are piloting testing in content area classes to limit alternative schedules and impact to our entire school day. Students will take their Math and Literacy tests in their respective math and literacy classrooms, throughout the week. As a reminder these assessments help us determine needs for students in intervention, guiding instruction in the classroom and placement in leveled classes. As always we recommend a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast in the morning. Please send your child to school with a fully charged Chromebook.
Toys for Tots
Starting Monday, November 4th, Marlowe Middle School will collect toy donations on behalf of Toys for Tots. If you would like to donate a new, unwrapped toy, please send it with your child to school by Wednesday, December 4, 2024. A “Toys for Tots” box will be located in the 6-3 pod. When you drop off your toy, please be sure to let a 6-3 teacher know your name and what pod you are from to earn wave points for your team. Thank you for your generosity.
