Progress Reports Published in Aspen: Progress reports are now available in Aspen. If you have difficulty logging in, you may email our IT Help Desk at AspenSupport@cohassetk12.org or initiate a ticket here. Please put “Aspen password reset” in the subject line. A reminder that progress reports differ from report cards in that rather than a summative evaluation, they provide a "snapshot in time" of a student's current progress. This progress is measured against benchmarks for this point in the school year as opposed to end of the year expectations. Deer Hill staff is so proud of our students' academic accomplishments this term!

Health Class Newsletter: Each trimester, our health teacher, Mrs. Hamlin, publishes a newsletter full of details about classes and resources for families. Please enjoy the trimester 1 edition!

Deer Hill Winter Concert: A reminder that all Deer Hill chorus members and the grade 5 band will perform at our Winter Concert on December 19 at 2:15 in the gym. Audience members should plan to enter through the front doors closest to the gym (to the right of the main entrance). Students will return to class after the performance.

Snack Recall: Please note that there is a recall notice for select MadeGood granola bar products over potential presence of a piece of metal. Thank you for taking a peek at any you may have in your pantry.

Festive Sweater Spirit Day: On December 20, we'll have a Festive Sweater spirit day. Don't feel the need to buy anything -- often the best spirit comes from shopping closets and craft supplies to be creative. Hugo has his sweater picked out and can't wait!

Grade 5 Lego & Robotics Club Forming: Please see the flyer below for a great opportunity for grade 5 students. Space is limited so sign up today!

Deer Hill Happenings

Circus Smirkus: One of Deer Hill's most treasured traditions is our circus in residence program. This was our third year in a new partnership with Circus Smirkus, and it's a delight to watch all students participate in circus lessons over the course of the week that emphasize perseverance, flexibility, and many other important character traits. Additionally, our circus lessons reflect the best of what we hope for our students around problem-solving, resilience, and PLAY as outlined in The Anxious Generation, the book that has guided many of our priorities this year. As a culmination of multiple years of participation, our 5th graders delighted the audience with tonight's evening performance!

CHS Student Coat Drive: Hello everyone! I would like to inform you all about a student run coat drive from December 2nd to December 20th. Coats can vary from size to color, just make sure it is not overused (ex: broken zipper). This donation would be a huge help to families that are cold over the winter. Remember: Recycle, Reuse, and Keep Someone Warm This Winter!!!!
