OVS Infosession (in-person)

• When: Thursday, May 19th at 6:00 - 7:00 PM
• Where: TAC Building on the 4th floor (3215 Cuming Street)
• What: This presentation will highlight how OVS is different than traditional educational experiences.
• Why: Potential parents and students will be able to see our classrooms, interact with staff and current learning coaches and learners, as well as ask questions.

Online Question and Answer Forum

• When: Tuesday, May 24th at 6:00 PM.
• Where: ONLINE on Microsoft Teams*
• What: To learn more and ask questions about our program
• Why: Potential parents and students will be able to chat with our program director, Dr. Loewenstein to ask any questions about the program.

Our vision statement embodies what makes Omaha Virtual School a unique opportunity available to Nebraska students. This past year has taught us that the landscape of our world is ever changing and our students need to be prepared for anything. Our learners are self-motivated and ready to adapt to new situations. Our rigorous curriculum will prepare them for whatever path they choose when they graduate.

Omaha Virtual School is committed to empowering life-long learners by developing collaborative relationships. Within our community, we provide an innovative, personalized learning experience. OVS is different from the remote learning that many students experienced during the pandemic. Our blended learning environment offers a full school experience, while still leaving flexibility for other activities. Check our our FAQ section for some common questions.

OVS is in the process of adopting a new curriculum for the 2022-23 school year. May 2022 staff, learning coaches, and learners field tested two new curriculum provider resources. We will be presenting our choice to the Board of Education in June. More details to follow!

We offer a variety of clubs (in-person and virtual) every year for Kindergarten-12th grade students. These club offerings vary each year based on student interests. This school year we have had:
