- ALL CLOVER KIDS, 4-H MEMBERS AND FFA MEMBERS MUST COMPLETE A FAIR REGISTRATION FORM TO BE ABLE TO EXHIBIT THEIR PROEJCTS AT THE FAIR.
Note: You can split your screen with the PDF and the fairbook to make it easier.
The fillable PDF is below if you would like to access the form that way.
Mail, drop off or email completed registration form at the Extension Office ON or BEFORE
July 1, 2024.
Fair Registration forms NOT received on or before July 1 will not be able to exhibit your projects at the 2024 4-H Fair. The registration forms build the fair! Please help us out!
---Note for FFA Livestock Exhibitors---
In the past you have used different codes to enroll in FFA projects. Go ahead and use the codes that are listed in the 4-H Fairbook. At weigh-in you can determine if you are exhibiting in 4-H or FFA. Last year we had exhibitors register in both 4-H and FFA and that gave us an inaccurate count of animals.
Again, please just register your animals in the 4-H category then you can determine 4-H or FFA at weigh-in.
Box Butte County 4-H Fair Book
2024 Box Butte County Fair 4-H/FFA FairBook is online.
NOTE: FFA exhibitors please use the 4-H Fairbook codes to register your livestock projects. If you have a static project you will use one code.
The Fair Book is online: https://extension.unl.edu/statewide/boxbutte/bbcfairbook/
- You will see a listing of project areas to click on.
- If you have any problems accessing the page, give the office a call.
- Remember that registrations may be dropped in the mail slot in the center door at the back of the building if the office is closed.
- Check the fairbook before you start a project so you know the details.
- Complete all the needed information as neatly as possible.
- Double check class numbers and names. (Ex. If you are showing 3 market lambs please list the class number and name 3 times)
If you have questions, please call the Extension Office at 762-5616 or stop by!
Tips to Remember When Filling Out Your Fair Registration
- If you are entering a class more than once (animals), you must list it more than once. For example: Two market steers, write down the project code for market steer class twice.
- Don’t forget entries for Showmanship, Fashion Show, Music Contest or other County only projects.
- Please check to make sure you are entered in the correct age division. 4-H Age is your age before January 1, 2024. Juniors (8-10) Intermediate (11-13) Seniors (14 and above).
- If there are only two age group’s Juniors (ages: 8-11) Seniors (ages: 12-18).
- Gardening and Flower Exhibits: Go ahead and pre-enter what you might be bringing. The office will print entry tags for all pre-registered exhibits. This will save exhibitors from having to fill out entry tags at the fair. If you do not bring everything you registered, just let us know and we will void the entry tags. The following free resources will guide you in preparing your exhibits for entry. http://4h.unl.edu/4hcurriculum/preparingcutflowers http://4h.unl.edu/4hcurriculum/preparingvegetabesherbsandfruit
