Mileage Club
Physical activity for all children is important. Lincoln Elementary School will once again be operating our lunch recess Mileage Club. It provides opportunity for children in grades 1 - 5 to walk/run for fitness. The course will be entirely on school grounds. We run on two days per week -Tuesdays and Thursdays.
While your child needs no special equipment, proper shoes are necessary. No sandals, please. Simply have your child dress appropriately for the weather. Each child is free to walk/run as little or as much as he/she desires in the designated recess time. Mileage Club is non-competitive.
Awards will be given. For each 3 miles, your child will receive a plastic toe token to place on his/her shoes, backpack or wear on a provided chain. In addition, special monthly tokens will be given to those walkers/runners with a strong commitment to regular participation.
