• Front doors will open at 7:30am. First bell rings at 8:15am. When students arrive on campus before 7:45am they will go to the gym, until they are released to class.
• Students who arrive after the 8:15am bell, will receive a Tardy, unless they have arrived to school on a late bus.

Joann is always willing to help me get work done or run an errand. She is a delight to have in my 0 period and is so helpful! - Brooke Middendorf

The H-O Student of the Week is Mason Maerz,

I am nominating Mason Maerz. He is new to us and is in 7th grade. He is such a big helper to one of his classmates during lunch. He jumps in to help without ever being asked. - Amy Stricker

The P-Z Student of the Week is Bianca Villasenor,

nominated by Mrs. Green.

Bianca is always on task, gives thoughtful contributions to small group and class discussions, and respects her teachers and peers. I've enjoyed seeing her academic growth in math, but really love the wonderful example of kindness that she consistently sets for her peers. - Becky Green

Happy New Year and Welcome Back,

1) As a parent, I would be wondering is my student making progress this school year. We have middle of the year map testing happening in all our core classes as well as Benchmark testing that will be occurring in January and February. Please reach out to your classroom teachers to see how your student is doing after receiving results from these assessments.

We also want you to know that your student’s updated first semester report card is online, which is another indication how your student is progressing. Please review this document to ensure your student is making progress this year. Attached below are the directions for you to pull this document from Skyward.

1 - Login to Skyward and Click “Portfolio” in the menu

2 - Click the name of the report card or progress report you would like

3 – Click “View Report” on the pop-up window

4 – It will generate in a new window which you can view or print

2) 8th Grade Parents/Guardians, please be on the lookout for an envelope that your student will be bringing home. In order to forward folders to Fulshear HS, our Registrar needs a current Proof Of Residency - utility bill, water bill, updated lease, etc.

Students and parents, the QR Code and following documents will help you decide what classes are appropriate for next year. The counselors will be meeting with all students on Thursday 2/2/23 in the P.E. classes. Students are welcome to begin editing their courses in Skyward for 9th Grade only, please do not edit 10th-12th.

During The Great Kindness Challenge, we are devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible on our campus. Each day of the Great Kindness Challenge, students accept the daily challenges and dress up to show school unity and spirit.

Students can also get a checklist from their counselor or the front office and complete the kind acts on the checklist.

PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
