News for Everyone
UNIFORMS ARE PAST DUE
All uniforms need to be dry-cleaned and then returned to campus IN THE DRY CLEANING BAG WITH RECEIPT attached. ALL tuxedo pieces must be dry cleaned including pants, vest, tie, and jacket. Uniforms turned in without showing proof of being dry-cleaned will be assessed a dry cleaning fee.
Students who have not turned in their uniform by this Friday, April 26th will be placed on the fines and fees list.
Choir Banquet
Our Choir Banquet will take place on FRIDAY, MAY 10. This year, we are excited and thrilled to host our banquet at Safari Texas (11627 FM 1464, Richmond, TX 77407). ALL choir students are welcome to attend. This is a fun way to celebrate the successes of the year with each other and honor our talented choir students. Ticket purchase includes a buffet dinner, DJ, award ceremony, and FUN!
If you and/or your child are interested in attending, please send your ticket money (cash or check made out to "Travis Choir Boosters") to school by THIS FRIDAY. Due to venue policy, ANYONE WHO WISHES TO ATTEND MUST RSVP BY PURCHASING A TICKET NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, APRIL 26! NO ONE can be added to the guest count after the 26th. Student tickets cost $20. Any additional family members or siblings that wish to join are WELCOME. Ticket prices for family members is $36.00. Due to venue constraints, ONLY family members are able to attend this event- non-choir friends or significant others are unable able to attend this event.
All-State Summer Camp Scholarship
This year, our Booster Club is thrilled to offer scholarships for students to attend an All-State Summer Camp. These camps are held around the state at many universities and school districts including Fort Bend ISD. These camps are a GREAT way for students to get a head start on the All-State music.
Booster Club scholarships are offered to aid in the registration costs up to $100 (if a camp costs less, the Booster Club will only reimburse that amount, if a camp costs more, the student is responsible for the difference).
If you'd like your child to apply for one of these scholarships, please have them fill out the application and return by THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 26th.
Grades & Eligibility
Please check in to ensure your child is keeping up in their classes. This Friday, April 26th is the last chance for students to regain eligibility. I have spoken to the students whom this affects. Pop Show is a ticketed event and by UIL rules, students must be academically eligible. Students who are not able to be a part of the show will have an alternative, written assignment given to receive credit.
Pop Show Tickets
Pop Show tickets will go on sale beginning Sunday, April 28. Each ticket is $2 for general seating.
Tickets can be purchased on RevTrak or by sending cash/check (made out to Travis High School Choir) to school. Tickets will be available at the door, however, I strongly encouraging purchasing ahead of time. All tickets are for general seating.
Pop Show Rehearsals
Pop Show is a FUN event and the kids are already working hard at preparations for our final performance this year! Please note, that with Pop Show come several required after school rehearsals that were on the calendar given out in August. They are REQUIRED double daily grades.
Rehearsal Dates
Monday, May 6: ALL STUDENTS REQUIRED 3 pm - 7 pm
Tuesday, May 7: ONLY SELECTED SOLOISTS are required
Wednesday, May 8: ALL STUDENTS REQUIRED FOR A FULL DRESS REHEARSAL 3 pm - 7 pm
Please note, students are required to stay for the entire rehearsal and should have the full time reserved. There may be instances where we finish early, but students should plan to be at school until the noted time.

Chorale Updates
Graduation for Travis has been announced to take place on Thursday, May 23rd at 7:30 pm at the new Fort Bend Epicenter. This is a required performance for all Chorale students so please be sure to mark your calendars now. Transportation will be provided for students.
All-State Camps: Students who will be returning and place into Chorale next year are REQUIRED to audition for the All-State process. One great way to prepare for the auditions is by attending an All-State Camp over the summer! They take place all over the state including several in the Houston area as well as our own FBISD camp in July. Please check the choir website page of camps to see opportunities available. I am continuously updated it as I get more information.
