Introducing CutTime!
Greetings, CHS Choir Members and Parents!
We are excited that you have chosen to be a part of our team this year. As a member of our program, you will have access to a variety of tools to help you learn and grow. One of these tools is CutTime (www.cuttime.net). We will make frequent use of this system to help coordinate communication with parents, track student finances, recruit volunteers, and manage uniform inventory throughout the year. Our desire is to continue integrating technology in the classroom for the purpose of creating a more transparent, accessible, and digitally connected community with the fine arts department.
Please continue reading below to learn how we will make use of this new management system to better serve all of our stakeholders.
What is CutTime?
Cut Time is a cloud-based group management tool that helps directors stay in touch with the students and parents in our program. Through a variety of modules, we will manage program communications, manage each students’ ensemble participation records, share volunteer needs, track assignments, administer financial records, celebrate program events, and so much more.
How do I access my account?
Each student in the CHS Choir Program has a profile in our system that was created using their BISD email address. Students who are new to this system will receive an email generated by this system (sent from noreply@cuttime.net) that will provide them instructions about setting up their username and password and how they can access their account. Students that do not see this email by the end of the day on Friday, August 25th are asked to contact Mr. Duff (cduff@bisdmail.net) for assistance.
Returning and Choir members joining us from Realm/STEAM or KMS feeder program set up accounts in CutTIme last year. Please use your school email address and the password you used during set up to access your account. The login should be the same. Can't remember your password? Click the "Forgot" button to reset it. Contact Mr. Duff with any issues you have in accessing your account.
Setting Up Parent Accounts
When opening new accounts, CutTime will only allow us to link one parent/guardian to each student account. If you would like more than one parent to have access to a student's account, please complete the following process.
- Go to www.cuttime.net and select “Student/Parent Sign Up” at top of the screen.
- Read the instructions and complete the registration form provided.
- Our Group Name (to be entered in the first blank) is "Centennial HS Choir."
- Your position should be set to "Parent."
- Agree to the Terms and Commitments.
- Click the “Register Now” button.
Note: Parents previously linked to student accounts should be linked and intact for the coming year. If you need help accessing your account, please let me know. Students should not complete this process.
Next Steps...
Once you have set up your username and password, we ask that you take a moment to update your account. You can access your parent/student profile by clicking your initials icon in the top right corner of the screen. Updating your profile will ensure that you don't miss out on important program communications and that you are able to efficiently and expediently attend to program business involving your student.
How to Add Your Student to Your Profile...
For families with multiple students in our program( or for those who are registering new accounts), some additional steps may need to be taken on your end to sync your account with those of your student(s). Following the steps below will communicate this need to a system administrator and help us ensure all accounts are appropriately linked prior to the start of the new school year.
- From the Parent Portal, click "Add a student/member."
- Fill out your student's information, then click "Save."
- If your child has an existing profile in the Cut Time account, their name will appear here.
- Click the "Establish Relationship" button.
- A system administrator (Mr. Cooley) will need to approve any new relationship requests in order for this link to become active. This process usually takes less than 6 hours.
Notes about Financial Accounts
Our board is working quickly over the next few days to reconcile student finances, assign fees, and distribute credits against outstanding balances in student accounts ahead of the new year. Our goal is to have everything balanced and assigned prior to the first day of school.
Any outstanding balances or credits that were listed in student accounts at the end of last year (students in Grades 10-12) will be reflected in the overall balance due for this year. Payments against current and/or past due fees may be made online through CutTime at any time. Students needing to pay fees with cash or check are asked to contact the booster club using the address below.

Should you encounter any issues in accessing your account/updating student information, just look for the "help" icon in the top right corner of the screen. Clicking this button will open up a very helpful FAQ section that can help address any issue you may experience in this process.
