Dear IES Families,

Between February 24-28, Irmo Elementary School will partner with the D5 Safety Office and local law enforcement to hold a Lockdown Drill. This drill ensures our faculty, staff, and students know what to do in case of an emergency. During the drill, you may notice an increased presence of law enforcement officers at our school. These individuals are here to help the drill run smoothly. We appreciate your support as safety is our top priority.

Our annual fundraiser is underway! Thank you to everyone that has already made a donation. Your gifts help fund programs such as our Artist In Residence Programs such as our cartoonist, Dave McDonald, in second grade, playground and recess equipment (every classroom received a new bag of sports equipment for recess) and WIPE whiteboards in each class for The Building, Thinking Classroom math instruction Initiative. These are just to name a few!

If we meet our goal of raising $25,000, Buzzy's Jubilee on March 7th will include TWO large inflatables for all students to enjoy!

• Send in cash or make checks (payable to IES PTA) labeled with your child’s name and teacher.
• Send a donation through Venmo (@irmoepta_2020). Please include your child’s first and last name and teacher in the comments portion of the Venmo payment.
• Donate through our website (https://myfunrun.com/irmoepta). Find "Donate to Participant" on the menu and search for your child’s name.
• You can also scan the QR code on your student’s personal flyer that went home in their Thursday folder.

Dear 5th Grade Families,

The Irmo Elementary School yearbook features a 5th Grade Dedication section highlighting and celebrating the growth and success of our graduating bees. If you would like to include a picture/dedication for your child, please complete the form linked here.

The cost is $30 per dedication and must be paid online using the Student QuickPay account. Once we have your completed Google Form, the fee will be added to your child's account. The link to pay is also included on the form linked above.

Pictures may be sent in an envelope (care of Lindsay Barrack) to be scanned and returned or they may be emailed to Ms. Barrack at lbarrack@lexrich5.org. If emailed, you will receive a response to ensure it was received. Pictures may be cropped to make sure both picture and text fit in the business card-sized space. Due to the small formatting, we ask that you follow the guidelines of keeping your message under 75 words, and submit only ONE photo. You will be asked to resubmit if these requirements are not met.

All materials are due by 3pm on February 28, 2025. This is a HARD deadline. We cannot accept any late submissions after this date.
