Above all else we hope you and your families are safe. We are looking forward to seeing all students back on campus this Tuesday, October 15th. Scholars, if you need something, let a staff member know. We are happy to help.
District Announcement
All SDOC staff will return to work on Monday, October 14, for the pre-scheduled teacher workday/student holiday. Students will return to school on Tuesday, October 15.
The first marking period will be extended to October 18. This will enable teachers and students to work together to submit work and finalize grades.
The makeup days for the hurricane will be discussed over the next two weeks. No announcement will be made regarding make up days for approximately two weeks, as the Osceola County School Board will discuss the topic at their October 22nd meeting.

School Bus ID Scanning
Scholars, please remember that it is a requirement to scan your ID when you board and disembark from the bus. If you have temporarily misplaced your ID one day, please use one of the methods below to scan.
- Visit student services to obtain a temporary paper ID with a barcode
- Download the "Here Comes the Bus" app and use District Code "73760". Use the Student Log in entry and it will display a barcode you can use for scanning.

SAT/PSAT Math Tips
SAT & PSAT Math Strategies
• Make sure to bring a calculator and get familiar with it before test day.
• Break up difficult problems into steps; look for ways to get closer to what you need to know, even if you can’t get there in just one or two steps.
• Write in your test booklet and underline key words in the question; the simple act of putting pencil to paper can help you recognize what you need to do.
• Make diagrams and drawings in your test booklet to help you visualize.
• For hard questions involving one or more variables, plug in numbers to try to help you solve; when all else fails, try plugging in answer choices.
• Guess on grid-in questions if you can’t solve them
