Just 2 more families needed for Crocker to reach a record 80% participation rate
Never before has Crocker hit the 80% mark in participation. We only need two more families to donate to HSF to meet this goal! Thank you all for supporting our school! Go Vikings!
Dear Viking Families,
We had an amazing open house last night! Thanks to our wonderful students for showcasing their great learning and to our teachers for hosting our community. We hope you all had a wonderful time connecting, seeing what students have accomplished this year, and enjoying time together.
This past Friday, Crocker cohosted the Special Olympics for students from many neighboring school districts. This fun-filled event allowed our athletes to showcase their perseverance, grit, and determination through games and competition. Thank you to our community who showed their incredible support at the opening ceremonies and for cheering on the athletes as they arrived. It was a wonderful, inclusive event where everyone succeeded and celebrated together.
Additionally, students are now in the midst of campaigning for the student body elections. Please remind your student to think about how each candidate has worked hard to prepare a speech, practiced a delivery, and created campaign signs. Spend some time at home discussing how your young Viking can participate through thoughtful decision-making in the selection of the candidate they feel could do the best job as a student body representative. This is a great civic engagement experience for our young Vikings to understand the basics of democracy and making an important decision on who best represents their hopes and dreams for the future of Crocker. So exciting!
Lastly, special thanks to Marlo Go Stroud and Jessica Zucker for their leadership as co-presidents with the amazing Crocker Parent Group (CPG). It is only through our strong partnerships that we can accomplish great things at Crocker. The Crocker staff is grateful for the support of CPG, our parent volunteers and our community for the ongoing support as we all help our young Vikings grow and develop.
In partnership,
Keith J. Rocha, Principal and Proud Crocker Viking

Happy Reading!
CROCKER ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Dear Parents of Crocker Eighth Graders,
The Hillsborough Schools Foundation (HSF) in partnership with the Crocker Parent Group is excited to announce the creation of the Crocker Alumni Association! This program was created to introduce our graduating eighth graders to philanthropy while helping them stay in touch beyond middle school.
The objectives of the Crocker Alumni Association are:
To promote community involvement and leadership, while sustaining the connections our children have developed throughout elementary and middle school.
To expose our eighth grade students to philanthropy and to allow them to reflect on the HCSD community who has supported them through elementary and middle school.
To foster a strong connection to our community and to provide the opportunity for our students to give back to the district as alumni and members of the community.
The Crocker Alumni Association will be shaped by the students. While HSF will maintain a database of contact information and provide a mechanism to accept donations, most, if not all, communications and activity planning will be carried out by its members.
How will this work?
With parent permission, eighth graders will be able to donate to the Crocker Alumni Association. The suggested initial donation for the class of 2024 will be between $20-$24. This donation will help offset some of the costs of the student chosen eighth grade gift (this year, Class of ‘24 t-shirts have been ordered and your child will be bringing one home next week). All students will receive the Class of ‘24 t-shirt. There are two options for paying the $20-24 membership donation: the QR code below or via HSF's website.
Donating to the Crocker Alumni Association is completely optional as is the decision to include contact information for future events. We simply ask that parents opt-in if their child is interested, and fill out student contact information in this google form CAA opt-in so that their eighth grader can be contacted about future class events and activities.
Thank you for your support of this exciting new endeavor!
