A Prayer for the Easter Season
Loving God,
As we journey toward Easter,
open our hearts to the wonder of Your love.
Help us to walk with Jesus through His passion,
to stand in awe at the cross,
and to rejoice in the hope of His resurrection.
May this season renew our faith,
fill us with Your peace,
and draw us closer to You.
Bless our families, our school, and our community,
that we may share Your light with all we meet.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, our risen Lord.
Amen

A Moment of Reflection
Dear Parents and Families,
As we approach the final week and a half of term, I’ve taken some time to reflect on the journey so far. An experienced principal once shared a valuable piece of advice with me: "Write down what you notice in the first term of a new position, because after that, things become normal, and you may not notice as much."
Looking back on these first months at St Denis, a few things stand out. I’ve noticed the joy in our students—laughing with friends at recess, eagerly sharing their learning in the classroom, and approaching challenges with enthusiasm. I’ve seen the dedication of our staff, who not only support their students but also one another, fostering a warm and nurturing environment. And I’ve witnessed the generosity of our parent community—always ready to lend a hand and contribute to school life. Your kindness and support make a real difference, and I am grateful to be part of such a caring and committed community.
On a personal note, my father-in-law, John (Ian) Potts, passed away last week after a short illness. He was a kind, gentle, and deeply interested dad and granddad. While his passing has left a significant space in our family, we are grateful for the love and memories we shared, especially in his final weeks. I give thanks to God for the gift of his presence in our lives. During this time, the support, care, and understanding shown by our staff have meant more than I can express, reminding me once again of the strength of our St Denis family.
As we prepare for Easter, we are reminded of the promise of renewal, hope, and new beginnings. It is a time to reflect on the values that shape our community—compassion, kindness, and faith. May this Easter bring you and your families peace and joy, and may we continue to grow together, supporting one another along the way.
Wishing you all a blessed and restful Easter season.
Warm regards,
Sarah Potts
