Schoolwide Fundraiser Starting Soon
Dear Briscoe Middle School families,
In 2 weeks, we will be kicking off our Briscoe MS Apex Color Games fundraiser!
For 2 weeks, students will be encouraged to get donations from family and friends to help their school. Each student will receive an access code to log into their personal Apex page on our website (Anython.com) which can track all donations they receive. A minimum of $30 raised is required to participate in the Color Games event on Friday, December 13th. Students can earn packets of color powder to be thrown and launched in the air during the games. It’s awesome!!
This is our major PTA fundraiser for the semester and we are raising funds for 8th grade Dance, Field Day and Teacher Grants for Classroom Supplies!
On Tuesday, December 3rd, we will introduce the fundraiser with a LAUNCH RALLY!
During the launch rally, we will show students how to use the fundraising website by suggesting they pull out their cell phones to log into their individual donation page at Anython.com. We’ll show them how to share a link to their page via email, SMS text, Facebook and/or Twitter with potential sponsors including family and family friends. The purpose of this is to demo the site so students understand how to use it as well as to kick-off the fundraiser for students/parents who wish to participate.
If you would prefer that your student not participate in the share challenge portion of the launch rally, please just advise your student not to use their cell phone at that time.
**
TO PREPARE FOR TUESDAY’S KICK-OFF
In preparation for this kick-off, we will ask students to come to the launch rally with at least 20 phone numbers of family and family friends (potential sponsors). You can email them this list so students can open it on their phone to use at the launch rally. This step is extremely crucial to a successful launch to our fundraiser.
Thank you for your continued support!

Some of our students mentioned that some fencing materials were dumped on the road between Hoffman and Briscoe. Our 2nd period engineering students went as a group to assess whether the material could be used for our class. After deciding the material was too rotten to use, they were able to help clean up the fence materials that were dumped and help beautify the campus.

#FormerBengals
Former Bengals, Zac and Adelyn, represented Northside at the State Meet last weekend.
Zac is a Senior this year at Brennan. He will be signing to run at University of Houston next year, majoring in Engineering. He was super excited to represent our community and attributes his running successes to Coach Dawson who encouraged him to pursue track when he was at Briscoe.
Adelyn, who graduated from Briscoe last year, also ran at the state meet. She squeezed in the last regional spot to make into state as a Freshman.

Intramurals
Intramurals is an after school program designed to get students of all grade levels active. Students will participate in a variety of non competitive sports activities. We do not travel to other schools to play and it will only be Briscoe students participating in the activities. Students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grades with all different levels of sports knowledge are welcome to participate. Our first gathering will be on November 6th in Coach Schryver's classroom, B110.
We hope to see you there!
