Dear Carver Families,

With just two weeks until our winter break, we’re making every moment count! We'll be working hard and having some fun with the Countdown to Winter Break. We "Kick Off" the holiday countdown tomorrow with jersey day. Be sure to check out the calendar below for each day's theme.

Thank you for your efforts in maintaining consistent routines for your students during this bustling season. Let's make every effort to ensure that students are on time and ready to learn each day!

Beginning Sunday, December 1, at 10 a.m., the Chesapeake Public Charter School online lottery application will OPEN.

All interested families must fill out lottery applications online at CPCS Lottery Link during the open enrollment period. For the 2025-2026 school year, the online application link becomes LIVE at 10 a.m. on December 1, 2024 and closes at midnight on December 31, 2024.

There will be two in-person Q&A sessions this year to be held on the following dates. Use this Parent Information Session RSVP.

• IN-PERSON @ CPCS Wednesday 12/4 - 5:00-6:00 pm

• IN-PERSON @ CPCS Wednesday 12/11 - 6:00-7:00 pm

Please be sure to label your students' belongings (lunch boxes, hoodies, coats, water bottles, etc.) so that they can be easily found and claimed. Please encourage your students to check Lost & Found for any belongings they may have misplaced or left on the playground.

There are so many fantastic things happening in our efforts to support SMCPS students with disabilities. Please use this survey to share your praise, story, or news about successes in your school or department!

Families may shop the Community School clothes closet for gently used clothes/ shoes or drop off donations of gently used/new items by appointment from 10 AM- 1PM. (Bilingual services available)

Families may shop at the Community School food pantry by appointment (while groceries last) from 10 AM - 1 PM. (Bilingual services available)
