Getting To Know: Jane Henry, LPN - Fairivew Outdoor School
1. Are you an early bird, or a night owl? Definitely an early bird.
2. What are your hobbies? Reading and listening to music.
3. Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Lip balm.
4. If you were ruler of your own country, what would be the first law you would introduce? World Peace.
5. What's the greatest bit of advice a parent or mentor has given you? Be yourself, and have faith.
6. Describe yourself in 3 words: Daughter, Wife, and Mom.
7. Which bad habits, if any drive you crazy? Living with all males, it drives me crazy when they leave the toilet seat up!
8. What's your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night? Go out for dinner and then relax with a glass of wine and a movie at home.
9. What's your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon? Relax in the rocking chair on the front porch or in my comfy chair and read a book.
10. If you had to change your name, what would you change it to? Beth, as a kid I always wished it would have been my name.
11. What do you typically have for breakfast? Cereal, or oatmeal and coffee.
12. What's been the worst present you've ever received? I can't think of any present I didn't like.
13. What's your favorite saying? It is what it is.
14. What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten? Soft shell crab sandwich with it's eyes peeking out of the sandwich.
15. What was your first job? Youth Conservation Corps - working on the hiking trails in the State Parks in PA.
16. What was your first car? Ford Escort Wagon.
17. Do you prefer to have a cat or dog as a pet? A cat, they don't shed as much as our black lab and they don't drool.
18. What's your favorite family tradition? Sunday family dinners at my parents, with all of my siblings and all the nieces and nephews when we go back home to visit.
19. Do you collect anything? Christmas ornaments from places we visit on vacations.
20. What would the name of your autobiography be? "Me, My 3 Sons and the Big Black Dog".

6. Describe yourself in three words: Quiet, caring, loyal.
7. Which bad habits, if any, drive you crazy? Laziness.
8. What's your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night? Depends on the weather, snuggling up on the couch for pizza and a movie, or spending time out with friends and family.
9. What's your favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon? That's my lazy day. (although I'm always doing laundry LOL!) but I like spending time with family and reading.
10. If you had to change your name, what would you change it to? I like my name.

12. What's been the worst present you've ever received? None - I've always lived by never look a gift horse in the mouth - I appreciate any gift received.
13. What's your favorite saying? Scars remind us of where we've been, they don't have to dictate where we're going.

New Way to Make Ice Packs
We all know, nothing beats the brown paper towel ice packs, but here's an interesting way of making ice packs too.
Make disposable ice packs with ziploc freezer bags and Dawn dish soap. The Dawn doesn't freeze completely and makes a gel like the soft type you can buy. These are *just* as cold as any other ice packs, so make sure you give good instructions and place a towel of some type between the ice pack and the child's skin.
