Mental Health Awareness
May is Mental Health Awareness month. The focus of this campaign is to help end the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging people to have conversations about mental health. In observance of this month, ACS is sharing information about mental health with students including crisis cards that fit in wallets for our older students. These cards help remind students what to do if they find themselves or a peer in a mental health crisis. You can also observe this month at home by wearing green and having conversations about mental health with people in your daily life. Below is a video that can help you explain this month to your children as well. Remember, mental health is health!

Students always look forward to the summer break and all of the accompanying activities i.e. camp, being outside in nature, summer jobs, etc. The summer is also a great time to make family memories.
