Halloween Parade Information
Halloween Parties and Parade
The school-wide Halloween parade will be Thursday, October 31 at 2:10pm. Everyone is invited to the parade! Families of kindergarten and 1st grade students are allowed to come in the building to help children put costumes on prior to the parade. All visitors to the building must check in at the office (ID required to check in). Classroom parties will be closed to visitors. The parade route is shown below. Students will be walking this direction while our visitors station themselves throughout the route.
Halloween party times will be sent home with your child. These are set by each grade level. Please do not send your child to school in their costume. They will be given time to put them on before the parade. Also, a reminder that no weapons or dangerous items may be sent to school as part of your child’s costume.

School Climate Survey
It is that time again for the annual School Climate Survey for Families! This electronic survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. The responses are 100% anonymous and are very helpful in improving student relationships, learning conditions, and the overall school environment at EJES and EJMHS. EACH building has a survey and questions specific to EACH building. If you have children in both, please participate in both.
To participate, the window is now open through Nov. 8, and once again, it is 100% anonymous. We will have Chromebooks and students or staff available to assist families to complete the survey during P/T conferences in the front lobby on Garfield St next week on Oct. 15 and 17. Each primary caregiver may complete the survey and be entered into a prize raffle. Just stop by the table to enter the drawing! Thank you for your help!"
