Monday May 6 Baccalaureate @ Berlin Christian Church 7PM Seniors that are choosing to attend need to arrive by 6:30 and wear your caps and gowns!

Tuesday May 7 - FCCLA Senior Breakfast in the Foods Room @ 8:00 am! Last day for Seniors if they do not have to take a final exam - they will need to bring their chromebooks to turn in!

Wednesday May 8 - Senior Final Exams for any course below a C average (students will be notified today if they have to take exams).

Friday May 10 - 8 AM HS Grad Practice; Senior Walk; Senior BBQ

Sunday May 12 - HS Graduation 2 PM Seniors should arrive by 1 PM

Ms. Kennedy's Dual Credit Class

Spanish Dual Credit taught 6th grade for the last time this year. They taught students the significance of Cinco de Mayo. Students had fun playing "hot sombrero" (similar to hot potato) where students pass around the sombrero until the music stops, and when it stops they have to answer a question about what they learned about Cinco de Mayo. We have had such a great time teaching these students! Also, students decorated the bulletin board for the last time as well.

We welcomed back and celebrated the JH State Qualifiers with a Parade on Saturday and finished just before the torrential rain and storm!! There are always questions about how students can earn a semester exam coupon. They qualify by earning the Prestigious Pretzel Incentive or by earning the Assessment Incentive. The details are in the NBHS Student Handbook and on the slides below!

Athletic Eligibility Notification Updates: We will begin posting athletic eligibility in Skyward Family Access to notify students and parents of academic eligibility. We will plan to post it for F's only from now on. We used to send notification for D's as well; however, with this shift we will only notify those who have a failing grade and are academically ineligible for the next week. A reminder that weekly eligibility runs from Sunday to Sunday.

Senior Class

FAFSA Completion is a graduation requirement. Be sure to get your FAFSA completed or sign off on the waiver before May 10th.

Graduation orders are in the office if you still need to pick yours up!

If you have ordered a 22.23; 21.22; and/or a 20.21 NBHS Yearbook, they are available for pick-up M-F 8am-4pm in the high school office.

We are at the Quarter 3 Mid-Term! If your student is struggling, here are some opportunities we offer for help:

• 8th Hour Advisory Tutoring – Our National Honor Society students offer peer tutoring from during Advisory. Please contact your child's teacher, Mr. Viola, or me and we will get them signed up for tutoring!

• After School Support –There is a staff member available to help your child from 3:30-4:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with homework. Please contact me if you want your child to take advantage of this support.

• HW/Lunch Detention – Students that are missing several assignments or major projects may be assigned to a homework lunch detention until they have all missing work completed and are passing all of their classes.

• High School HW Advisory Academic Support– High school students may be assigned to a homework advisory detention until they have all missing work completed and are passing all of their classes.
