Coyote Update
Chandler Early College High School Vol 3 Issue 2
๐ด Scaringelli's Segment โพ
I believe the students are finally settling into the school day routine. We are starting the school year with 82 students.
- 15 students enrolled for 23 courses at CGCC
- 11 students enrolled at EVIT
- 6 students enrolled at COA
- 3 students enrolled for a class at their home school
This is our long stretch of school without a holiday. We have a busy August ahead of us with 3 assemblies. The University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University will be presenting to our students about the opportunities they can receive if they attend their school. Arizona State University is scheduled for a later date. Our 3rd assembly this month is for seniors only as they work on their ECAP. This is a mandatory graduation requirement for the state of Arizona. It is important that all seniors attend.
On August 16th there will be no 4th or 5th hour for a staff meeting. Please make sure that transportation is arranged for that day. Any student that takes the afternoon bus can ride the midday bus to their home school.

College Classes at CGCC
CGCC tuition is due by August 9th. I will be taking fall students on a tour on August 12th so they can see where their classes are located. Classes begin on August 19th. This year Mrs. Scaringelli and I will be meeting with students every two weeks to do a grade check.

Infinite Campus Parent/Student Login
If you have not done so already, please log into your Infinite Campus account and update your annual student registration. You will find this option in the left index under "More". Updating this annually is extremely important so we have current information on your household. This is also where you can agree or disagree for publicity, internet access and most importantly providing your child with Tylenol should they become ill. Please DO NOT start a New Student registration.
Under "More" you will also need to update the Student Device Agreement. This is currently available for you to complete and must be done on a laptop or PC. Do not use your mobile device to complete this agreement.
Lastly, every year it is highly recommended for you to purchase the $25.00 Device Protection Plan. The fee will appear in Infinite Campus on August 5th and must be paid by September 2nd.. This can also be found under "More" in InTouch Fee Payments.
๐จ Drawing Contest ๐จ
Do you like to draw? We are in need of a coyote mascot for CEC. It needs to be original. All artwork needs to be submitted to Mrs. Scaringelli by August 16th.

- No student will be permitted to leave campus without parent verification.
- Students are responsible for making arrangements to make up time missed, as that impacts student progress here at CEC more than any other factor. Please make sure to check Google classroom.
Unexcused Absences are considered truancies. the parent is notified whenever a student is absent. Work cannot be made-up for credit on unexcused absences.
Tardy to Class
- Students are expected to be seated in their classrooms ready to begin class work at the start of each period.
- A tardy is defined as "not being in an assigned seat at the minute".
- Student's who have habitual tardies may be dropped from their class. If tardies are in first hour, student's schedules may be changed to add to a class later in the day.
- If your child is tardy, please call the front office to excuse them.
Consequences for Absences

- After 8 absences per quarter, student will be issued a second warning that they can be dropped from their in-person class.
