Principal's Corner
The end of the 2023-24 school year is fast approaching. It feels like time has flown by, and the last month will be exciting. There are many fun-filled activities throughout the final weeks of school, including field trips, track meets, and warm weather. It is indeed an exciting time of year but it is also important to remember the focus still needs to be on learning. Our secondary students, particularly our Gr. 9-12s, should be paying close attention to their grades in PowerSchool. If there are assignments that are missing or need improvement, this is the time to have conversations with your teachers to ensure a plan to get these done. Planning and preparing now will provide the best opportunity for a successful end to the school year.
Next Monday, we have a special event lined up. We are pleased to host Tyler Smith, a Humboldt bus crash survivor and winner of the Amazing Race Canada, as a guest speaker. This unique opportunity, provided by the County of Flagstaff and FIRST (Flagstaff Informed Response Sharing Team), promises to be a fantastic event for our Gr. 7-12 students. We are also welcoming CHSPS and Forestburg Schools to participate with us.
We are currently putting our staffing together for next year. We will communicate through School Messenger to inform everyone of changes for the 2024-25 school year as soon as we can. This information should be ready in early June.
There is plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks. Please check our website and social media pages to stay up to date with everything that is happening.
If you have any questions, please contact us at the office.

As we approach the end of the school year, I just wanted to remind you that the last week to borrow books from the library will be from June 3rd to 7th. After that, I kindly ask that all books be returned to the library within the following two weeks. You will receive a notice if any books are missing for your child. Please make sure to bring back all borrowed books to the library to avoid any replacement charges.
Thank you so much for your help in keeping our library resources available for everyone.
Warm regards,
