Searcy School District would like to provide our families with an update on the information we received last week about a threat of violence against Searcy High School. Due to the progress of the investigation and a credible lead, we want to assure our families that students and staff members are safe on all Searcy School District campuses. As an additional layer of security, the district will continue having an enhanced police presence at this time. School will resume as normal tomorrow and the days following.
If additional information provides cause for an update, Searcy School District will keep stakeholders apprised. We are thankful for the Searcy Police Department’s diligent efforts in investigating and keeping our students and staff members safe.
