Kindergarten Orientation
Friday, August 9 from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM in the Cafeteria (PARENTS ONLY)
***Kindergarten students must have their Immunizations completed and provided to the school office prior to attending school on August 12, 2024.
Pre-Kindergarten Orientation
Friday, August 9 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom (PARENTS ONLY)

UNIFORM SHOES UPDATE
Uniform Shoes: Students are required to wear athletic shoes (high-tops or low tops) to allow for physical activity daily. Students are to wear MOSTLY BLACK SHOES (90% of the shoe) WITH A MINOR WHITE ACCENT (10% of the shoe). No other accent colors will be permitted.
Examples of Shoes Allowed: black Nike’s with a white swoosh, or black Adidas with white stripes, or black Converse with a white/black star logo. Shoes are not allowed to be 50/50 in color.
Examples of Shoes NOT ALLOWED: Checkered Vans, Nike Dunks, Nike Air Jordans
Please consult with the Office if there are questions about what is and is not permitted. Students will be told to replace shoes if the wrong shoes are purchased and worn to school, even if they are brand new and were very expensive.

IMMUNIZATION INFORMATION
Pre-Kindergarten students must have their Health Form completed by their doctor and returned to the school office prior to attending school (August 12, 2024).
Students entering 7th Grade must have been vaccinated against Pertussis, also known as Whooping Cough with the Tetanus, Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine; and against Neisseria meningitidis (meningitis) in the form of a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4). Students not in compliance with the immunization requirements will be excluded from attending school. A flu vaccine is recommended annually for 6 months and older, and 11-12 year olds are also recommended to receive the HPV vaccine.

As a reminder, immunizations are required per Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 392.435 and 394.192 especially for students going into Pre-K, K and 7th grade. This will ensure children will continue to be protected against vaccine-preventable diseases.
Per Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 392.435 and 394.192, if a parent or legal guardian fails to provide their child’s immunization documentation, the student must be excluded from school and may not be admitted until the requirements for immunization have been met.
