Students Visiting from Ghana
Six students visited Paint Branch from Ghana this past week as to experience high school in the US as part of the Gapbuster Program.
A special thank you to Zunaira Shahbaz, Gwyneth Ohl, Maraki Ayele, Breanna Marty, Christian Campos, Jessica Frimpong-Debrah, Efratha Tewodros, and all students who volunteered to have them shadow their classes and welcomed them to PB.
A note from one of the visiting students:
During my visit to this noble school, I was particularly struck by your innovative approach to project-based learning in all the classes, especially the gym class, Mathematics class and Physics class. Seeing students actively engaged in hands-on experiments and collaborating to present their findings fostered a deeper understanding of the materials, which is something I would like to incorporate into my own teaching and learning practice wherever I will go. Thanks for setting a good example for me. After one week visiting Paint Branch High School, I was deeply impressed by every teacher and student. I wanted to use this opportunity to thank the principal and all staff members in this school. Your kindness and humbleness has taught me something important: it's not just the place, but the people who make moments unforgettable. I am so grateful to everyone at Paint Branch High School, especially the principal , I truly appreciate your generosity and hospitality. Your thoughtfulness and warmth has made this visit unforgettable and I am so grateful to have shared such a special time with your and your students. Thank you so much for opening your school and hearts for us.
With endless gratitude, Josephine Mintaa, a brilliant student from gapbuster.
