Feb 10-15, 2025 Marysville Jr/Sr High School #dogproud364
Principal's Note
Greetings Marysville Family,
What a week! There was so much going on at MJSHS last week that it was hard to keep up. I wanted to focus on these junior high students who signed up their name a couple weeks ago to have a spell-off to see who would represent our school in the county bee. They all took it seriously and did a great job. Your qualifiers when the dust settled: Barrett Lyhane, Aidan Griffin, Eli Frese, Finn Bussman, Anthony Cosgrove, and Nathaniel Becerra. The Marshall County Bee will be held this Tuesday here at the MJSHS Auditorium at 10:00 AM. The public is welcome to come watch. If you plan to come, arrive prior to 9:55 AM as the Bee will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Good luck to everyone!

Senior County Government Day
Judge Weingart enjoyed his time visiting with the seniors at Senior County Government Day this past Tuesday. Students from Marysville, Axtell, Frankfort, and Valley Heights got to visit the different parts of our courthouse and then sit in on actual court proceedings. It was an educational day to say the least.
Winter Formal King and Queen
Rhett Wertenberger and Gracyn Ketter were crowned Winter Formal Royalty Friday night at halftime of the basketball game. Congrats to them and all the candidates.
Schaefer Shrine Bowl Bound
Ashton Schaefer was honored earlier in the week by Shrine Bowl representatives with an invitation to the 2025 Shrine Bowl. The game will be held in Dodge City on June 21st. Congrats, Ashton!
Otott With a Saturday To Remember
Will had a Saturday he will never forget with a game like no other. He scored 64 in the OT win versus Centralia. It was all over social media this weekend and Sports in Kansas even got ahold of Will to get his thoughts. Nice game, Will!
Piano Students Shine in Lindsborg
February 8th, our piano students traveled down to Lindsborg, Kansas to participate in our regional piano festival. Alastor Craig, Teddy Bourchert, and Sarah Miller all participated in the festival, receiving “Excellent” ratings on their piano solos! They worked incredibly hard preparing for the festival, and certainly showed off their musical talents very well! Way to make the bulldog family proud!
