SDAC Leadership Opportunity - 2/13 Deadline
The Student District Advisory Council (SDAC) is looking for current 8th grade students, who are interested in being a representative for SDAC during the 2025-26 school year. If you are someone who wants to share their ideas, have good communication skills, has the capacity to commit, and are looking to better our school, our district, and our community, please complete the following questions and submit this form by February 13th. After February 13th, interviews will be conducted following the preliminary review of all applications. We will notify those selected when interviews will occur. Please check your learn email for application updates.

Teen Center Ski Trips - Feb. 14 & March 17
The Thousand Oaks Teen Center is hosting a Ski Trip to Mountain High during the school holidays on February 14th and March 17th. The trip is $150 per person which covers transportation, lift ticket, supervision included. Permission slip/proof of family medical insurance required to attend. Register by clicking on banner below. 6th Grade Human Growth & Development Videos
Annually, CVUSD students in the 6th grade view Human Growth and Development (HGD) videos.
CVUSD recognizes the sensitive nature of this content and seeks to provide parents/guardians with an opportunity to view the videos prior to the students.
If you are a parent of a student in 6th grade, please consider joining CVUSD to virtually preview the Human Growth and Development videos on February 11, 2025 (Tuesday). CVUSD staff will be available to answer questions during this virtual preview.
If you are unable to attend the February 11, 2024 virtual preview or wish to view the videos on your own, the videos will be available online for viewing here until April 30, 2025. Please use Passcode ConejoLearn
Students are scheduled to view the specific grade level video beginning in March, 2025. Additional information will be sent home prior to the student viewing the materials and, in accordance with California Education Code 51240, parents can opt their child out of viewing the video by providing written notice to your child’s teacher.

Climate Storytelling Contest
- California students in 6th through 12th grade are invited to submit a podcast, narrative essay, or photo essay to the Climate Storytelling Contest. Students choose one of the three mediums and answer the following prompt: What are your feelings towards climate change? How can those feelings be turned into action?
Entries can be submitted online by 5pm on May 29th, 2025.
