Message from Principal Groves - Week of May 20, 2024
Dear Blacklick Families:
I hope you had a great weekend! It is hard to believe that this is our last week of school. Our student's last day of school is this Friday, May 24, 2024. Thank you very much for all of your support this school year! I am incredibly thankful to be working with such a kind, caring, supportive community of students, staff, and families at Blacklick.
School yearbooks will be distributed to students on Monday of this week. Yearbook orders were completed as a part of the photo orders in the fall. If you have questions about your order, please contact Mrs. Lindsey in the front office at lindseyk@gjps.org.
We are looking forward to several special events this week!
Wednesday, May 22: Field Day! **We will be monitoring the weather to determine if we need to move this event to Thursday.
Friday, May 24: 5th Grade Certificate Ceremony at 9:00 AM
This event will be live streamed for families. I will email the link to grade 5 families later in the week.
Friday, May 24: 5th Grade Clap Out at 2:00 PM
Fifth grade students will walk the halls of Blacklick one last time while students in grades K-4 cheer them on and wish them well! Parents and family members should report to the K/1 playground as the 5th graders will exit the building through the doors leading onto the K/1 playground. We are excited to celebrate our 5th graders!
I hope you have an amazing summer! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns at 614-759-5100 or by email at grovesk@gjps.org.
Respectfully,
Kristen Groves

Please note:

Please contact your childโs healthcare provider to have the form(s) completed if your child must have medication available to them during the school day next year. In the fall, all new medication MUST be brought to the school by an adult. For safety reasons, students CANNOT transport medication to/from school.
