Showcase a School
Robotics Team
This past school year, the Robotics Team consisted of 27 high school students and also held a Robot School through the middle school Voyagers Program. This past season, the Robotics Team competed in several competitions. The team traveled to Duluth, MN in March for a competition where the robot experienced several mechanical issues. The team had one month to completely rebuild the robot and be ready for their LaCrosse competition in April, where the team was awarded the Gracious Professionalism Award for demonstrating kindness, professionalism, and respect to their opponents and others throughout the competition. Brett Schaefer shared a video that demonstrates the commands the robot is programmed to do. Megan Schutte, a 2024 Chi-Hi Graduate, shared about her experiences as a member of the robotics team and the skills she has learned that she will take with her on her next educational journey. Additionally, Dr. Tim Wolter was provided with the title of "Robotics Overlord" by the Board for his many years of service to students and the District surrounding the development of the Robotics Team. Everyone is grateful and appreciates Dr. Wolter's endeavors immensely and wish him the best of luck in his "retirement" years.
