Happy Friday!

It was another short week, but we were able to accomplish a lot! Our teachers spent the day looking at their students' data and collaborating with their colleagues to make instructional plans. We are very fortunate to have amazing staff members at Bogan who truly care about our students' individual needs. As we continue to move through this semester, we look forward to partnering with you to ensure even more growth and success!

Spring Girls on the Run -- registration begins January 27th at 10a - February 9th at 11:59p; the season begins February 19th with practices from 315 - 445 on Monday and Wednesdays and a celebratory 5k on May 10th!

All students are really doing a great job following the cafeteria expectations and earning scoops! Students are proud of themselves for working hard. It is really cool to see the excitement on their faces when their class earns a scoop for the day! We have had many classes already earn their ice cream parties and are looking forward to the rest of the classes achieving this goal as well!

We would appreciate if you could also review these expectations with your students at home.

Mrs. Kline has updated the Bogan Art Website with LOTS of FREE art apps, art websites, and things for our kiddos to do at home while they are stuck inside. Please click the image for access.

As a reminder, you are able to add funds to your student's lunch account through the Talawanda EZ Pay system. If your student's account reaches -$50 it will be rolled into your school fees. Please be mindful and keep your student's account current. You can use Talawanda EZ Pay, send a check or cash to the school office to take care of your student's balance.

Hello parents and guardians! It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through January, and it has certainly been an interesting start to 2025 with the cold and snow!

We are moving on to new units in our class wide SEL lessons. During Second Step, all grade levels in January are learning about friendship, kindness, and empathy. We are taking what we have learned about feelings in the first part of the year, and using those feelings to be able to place ourselves in other's shoes and to help support our friends and peers when they are struggling with big emotions. We are also learning what it means to be a good friend!

Starting in February, we are looking to run small groups to help support students in various areas such as friendship and social skills, worry and anxiety, anger, family changes (death, divorce, foster care, and other changes) etc. If you think your child could benefit from taking part in a small group with their peers, please reach out and share with me what topic you think would be helpful and I will do my best to plug them into a group as the schedule allows.

As always, I am here to provide support to your students in any way that I can! Please don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email if I can help in any way.

We are excited to have Pebble Go! Pebble Go provides access to a lot of different digital books that you can read with your children at home.
