AVES Swimmer a State Champion!
Congratulations to AVES swimmer Addie Robillard who is state champion in two events! Addie placed first in both the girls 200 IM and the girls 100 breastroke at the state meet on February 22. This is her second 200-yard individual medley state title, and her third 100-yard breaststroke state title.
Retired Sycamore Educator Receives Surprise Trip
On February 28, students at Sycamore Junior High came together to deliver a special surprise for longtime educator and breast cancer survivor MariLouise Hubbard—on the very same day she began a new round of chemotherapy.
Ms. Hubbard, who has dedicated 30 years to teaching at Sycamore, continues to inspire as a long-term substitute, even while battling breast cancer for the third time. Her unwavering passion and resilience have left a lasting impact on generations of students.
To show their appreciation, students helped present Ms. Hubbard with an all-expenses-paid trip to Nashville, courtesy of the Karen Wellington Foundation for Living with Breast Cancer (KWF). The gift was made possible by the nomination of two of her former students, recognizing her incredible influence inside and outside the classroom.

Sycamore High School’s Book Drive a Huge Success!
Sycamore High School’s African Library Project club recently completed a successful book drive, collecting 10,000 books to help build libraries for youth in African countries. From January 13–24, students, staff, and community members came together to donate K-8 books, supporting the club’s mission to make education more accessible.
This initiative, in partnership with the African Library Project Organization, reflects Sycamore’s commitment to global literacy and service. The club extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed, and the African Library Project has created a special video to express their appreciation.

Cincy Hats & Sycamore Collaboration
Cincy Hats for Sale Through March 9
We are excited to announce that Sycamore High School is now a proud partner of Cincy Hats! Through March 9, you can purchase custom spirit-wear hats through this special collaboration. Visit thecincyhat.com to make your purchase.
The Cincy Hat project is more than just a way to show school pride—it’s a chance to give back. A portion of every hat sale will support Sycamore High School, while the remainder will benefit The Village of Merici, an Indianapolis-based community that provides residential apartments and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The project, created by Ted Karras' charity hat initiative, has already partnered with more than 15 local schools and continues to grow. We’re thrilled to join this effort to support both our school and a meaningful cause.
