The Weekly SharkBeat!
SJHS Weekly Parent Newsletter - October 22, 2023
Moving Forward
This week marks the end of our 1st quarter. For our seniors, it's the last 1st quarter of high school. I encourage our students to keep doing their best. If you didn't get off to the start you wanted, you have another quarter to get your grades up or make things happen before the end of the semester. Remember, we have tutoring and makeup time available (see dates and times below).
Thank you for taking the time to review the Weekly Sharkbeat Newsletter. Please check the school website and Facebook page for additional updates and information. Thank you for choosing to be a part of the Shark family. Have a great evening, keep swimming forward, and as always, Go SHARKS!

We are EXCELLENT!
SC School Report Cards were released this week and SJHS received an EXCELLENT rating! I am super proud of our students and staff for the amazing job they do each day!
SpongeBob the Musical
Thank you to everyone who came out and made our show a success. Our drama team gave phenomenal performances. We appreciate their time and dedication to the program. For all the parents who helped with sets, costumes, food, and support, thank you! And we cannot fail to mention the hard work from Mrs. Howard and Bruce Thompson- thank you for another wonderful musical.
Attendance Make Up School
Tutoring and make-up school will begin on Tues, October 17th in room E204 which is Coach Cannon's room.
Early Pick Up
If you plan to pick your student up early or your student will drive off campus early, please send a note with your student to be turned in before school starts at the Welcome Desk. We will verify the note and give your student a pass to meet you or leave at the appropriate time. Sending a note cuts down on class interruptions. Unfortunately, we cannot accept phone calls or emails to dismiss students. We appreciate your help.
Driving On Campus
Parents should always use the front entrance to pick students up for early dismissal. Additionally, we ask that you follow the traffic pattern set forth by SJH. Please do not move cones, go around cones or make unsafe decisions to shorten your time on campus. Please help us keep our students safe by following our traffic patterns.

PTSO Needs YOU!
The Lowes Foods Cart 2 Class Program is a very EASY and FREE way to earn money for your children's school(s). For every private label purchase you make, Lowes Foods donates a percentage of those sales to the school and every year they donate $250,000 to schools across the Carolinas.
Lowes Foods has a wide variety of private labels ranging from pet food to cleaning supplies and of course your everyday groceries. Attached is the Cart 2 Class flyer that mentions all of the private labels that count for this program.
If you have participated in the Cart 2 Class Program before you need to re-link your card every August. It only takes a minute and you can click here and enter your Fresh Rewards Card number and choose up to 3 schools. Each school get the same percentage whether it’s 1 school or 3.
Can’t find your Rewards Card? That’s ok you can click here to use your phone number. If you’re having trouble linking your card or if you need a Lowes Foods Rewards Card, you can grab one at any register and any of their hosts can help you get enrolled.
