Dental Screenings and/or Sealants
We are fortunate again this year to be able to offer free dental screenings and/or sealants to our Ashland School District students in grades K-2 and 6-8. With the advent of Covid-19 many students have not had an opportunity to see a dental provider in the last 12-24 months and we really hope you will take advantage of this great opportunity to have dental services provided for your child. You get to choose which, if any, of the services you would like and will be notified by the hygienist of the results. Your child can participate even if they have a dental provider. Permission forms were sent home this week so watch for them!
This year the screenings will be done by a local hygienist, Kayla Burg. Kayla is a highly competent, “kid- friendly” licensed expanded practice dental hygienist who has provided this valuable service for our district for a number of years now.
Turn in consent by February 9th: The program runs the week of February 12th.
Latino Student Union Book Drive
The Latino Student Union is collecting new and gently used children’s books in English and Spanish to donate to our Elementary School’s English Language Development classrooms.
Please send in your books with your student to put in their hall’s mini commons during the month of February. Book totals will be updated weekly, with the top three teams earning points for their teams.
