We are pleased that our new and existing winter classes and activities went over well. Thanks to everyone who participated in our classes and activities!

We are currently in the process of building our summer rec program and activities. Please note that it is not too late to contact us if you have a class idea or offering we should add. March 22- Babysitting 101: This 7.5-hour course for 10-15-year-olds follows the American Academy of Pediatrics –Babysitter Lessons And Safety Training (BLAST). Students learn current practices for safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants, how to handle behavior problems, and how to manage their babysitting business. Students receive a reference book, game handouts, a babysitting bag, and a first aid kit. Please check your email for confirmation and further course information. 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. This is a self paced online course which can be started and completed as it fits into your schedule! Community Educations offers this Drivers Training 30 hour online course by Veteran Crash Investigator and Driver Safety Expert, Mike Pehl and his DriveSafeRideSafe team. https://isd743.revtrak.net/rw-community-education/

Lego Robotics, for students in grades 4 - 6, connects your love of Legos with the fun of programming to solve challenges. In each two-session series, you will work with a team to build a Lego Robot and then program it to complete tasks. Join us for one week, or for each week; each week will have a different build and a different challenge. Please commit to both Tuesday and Thursday of the week as each challenge will need both sessions to accomplish the goal. **Please note that because of high interest in these Lego courses, participants can register for a max of two different sessions. Classes will be 3:10 - 4:45 pm in JH Room 113. The fee is $12.

March 8. Cake pops are made for kids, and now they can make their own! We’ll teach you how to combine just the right amount of cake crumbs and buttercream icing to create tasty cake pops in CRAZY BRIGHT fun colors and designs! You will learn to read a recipe & follow directions, how to melt candy melts, and kitchen safety. At the end of this class, you will bring home some beautifully decorated Cake Pops for your family!! April 17- Come and explore your senses while you make your very own KINETIC SAND. Mold your imagination and let your creativity flow! We will be using regular household items to make this fascinating substance. It’s mesmerizing, it’s satisfying, and once in your hands, you can’t put it down! Watch them explore, shape, slice, scoop, squish, smash, and flow again and again! The price includes all ingredients and supplies. May 15 - This class is designed for youth to have FUN while learning some science concepts (inquiry-based). We will be using the simplest of techniques (freezer bags and ice) - An ice cream social is planned at the end of class with lots of flavored syrups and toppings to choose from. Come and have some fun with your friends!! The price includes all ingredients and supplies. March 22 - Improve your driving skills and if you're 55 or older, get a discount on your personal auto insurance. This 4-hour refresher Defensive Driving Course is taught by experienced, professional traffic safety instructors, including officers of the Minnesota State Patrol. https://isd743.revtrak.net/rw-community-education/ The class will take place from 1:00 - 5:00 pm in the senior high media center. May 8 - The ABCs and Ds of Medicare© (Open Enrollment Edition) This workshop is designed to help you understand Medicare a little better with a focus on comparing plans during the Open Enrollment. We will discuss Part A (Hospital Insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance), Part C (Medicare Advantage), and Part D (Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage). Class will take place in the senior high media center from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

Adult Indoor Pickleball- Wednesdays, 6:00 - 8:30 pm; Sundays 1:00 - 3:00 pm. $2 per time; in the elementary gym & cafeteria.

Morning Lap swim is a great way to get your exercise done before you start your work day! A certified lifeguard is on duty. Lap Swim is 6:15 - 7:15 am, Monday through Thursday. Registration is for the month and the fee is $18. https://isd743.revtrak.net/rw-community-education/
