Jr. High Track & Field Day Menu
Track & Field Day is Monday, May 6th. Students will spend the day competing in events and cheering on our fellow Eagles. This is a time to connect as a school community; attendance is mandatory for all Junior high students.
On the morning of May 6th, students should plan to arrive at school as usual and meet their teacher in their first block classes for attendance no later than 8:40 am. Students will then be transported to Strathcona Athletic Park (SAP) on school buses. As this is a closed campus event, students are NOT permitted to travel to or from SAP except on school provided transportation and cannot leave SAP during the day without prior permission.
Students should prepare for a full day spent outside by bringing the following items in a large bag/backpack:
· Hat, water bottle, and sunscreen
· Bag lunch and multiple snacks (there will also be a concession where students can purchase food and drinks - cash is best)
· Dress for the weather (layers are recommended; reminder that it is cooler in the morning); bring rain gear if needed
· Blankets are permitted, but tents and tarps are not.
At the end of the day, attendance will be taken by last block teachers in the soccer field in the middle of the track. Students will then board buses back to the school where they will be dismissed once the final bell rings at 3:20 pm.
If your child will not be able to physically compete in the events, will be absent for the day or has an appointment mid-day, please email your child’s teachers as well as the school office.
In case of inclement weather, we will have a regular day at school. A message via phone or email will be sent out by 6:00 am that morning if the meet needs to be cancelled for any reason.

Traveling Internationally?
Please let your teacher(s) or the office know if you are traveling outside of Canada and require access to your Brightspace. Regularly, Brightspace isn't accessible when you are outside of Canada, so we need to request access from EIPS for the duration of your travels.
Thank you! 😀
