Happy New Year! 🎉

Director's Corner
Dear St. Peter’s ECDC Families,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a blessed Christmas season with friends and family and your 2025 is off to a great start.
In December our bible verse was “God has given a son to us” -Isaiah 9:6. Thank you to all the parents who joined us for our Family Christmas Chapel. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did, participating with the kids as they danced and sang while Pastor Pat told us all the story of the birth of Jesus. Thank you to Ms. Claudia, our Music and Motor Skills teacher, for working with the kids on the music, as well as their teachers who practiced with them in the classroom. Also, a thank you to the teachers who helped lead with hand motions and made sure all the kids had bells to ring for the sing-along. Pre-K and TK did a great job as they led us in Hosanna Rock!
There was so much fun and excitement in December with Christmas Parties, decorating, and learning about the Christmas story, but January and the start of a new year brings it’s own fun. Our bible verse for January is “A friend loves you all the time” – Proverbs 17:17. Ms. Alyssa, Director of Children’s Ministries, will start off our chapel this year teaching us about how Jesus is a good friend when we are afraid.
At ECDC, we are all excited to welcome back the kids after the break and are looking forward to a joyful and blessed 2025 with all our St. Peter’s ECDC families.
Blessings,
Ms. Katie
Interim Director, St. Peter’s ECDC
Celebrating December Milestones
Family Christmas Chapel
Thank you to ALL our parents and students for making our annual ECDC Family Christmas Chapel a big success! Not only did we get to see our 4's and TK do a special performance but we also got to celebrate our December birthdays together with Jesus' birthday!
Thank you to Pastor Pat for telling us the story of Jesus' birth which is one of his favorite traditions with ECDC.
TK Class Holiday Performance
Christmas Class Parties
Spanish Class
Ms. Gualy, our Spanish teacher, sang and danced with students to the song "Feliz Navidad", bringing cheer to our school during the holiday season! Students also spent time in December identifying colors in different Christmas decorations, learning numbers and days of the week in Spanish. We are so thankful to have Ms. Gualy teaching our students every day!
Exciting News: Learning Without Tears (LWT) Curriculum – January 2025
This December, our staff received training in the Learning Without Tears program, which will enhance our literacy curriculum. This training provides fun, hands-on activities that support the developmental progression from scribbling to writing, letter recognition, print awareness, and early writing skills. The program is designed to support developmental growth from toddlers all the way through Transitional Kindergarten. We can’t wait to bring these new strategies to the classroom to support your child’s learning journey!
