Montebello Elementary School
October 20 - October 25
The Week in Summary...
It was a beautiful week and students were able to take full advantage of their outdoor time! In grade 3, students and the lunch monitors played in the leaves and enjoyed their time playing together. We had another successful round of Tuesday Trivia and our first and second place winning teams in grade 4 and grade 5 continue to take the lead. If you haven't started listening yet, the podcast is linked at the bottom of this page and the news is a quick but entertaining six minutes long.
Students in grade 5 shared information about their Human Rights Candidates over the morning announcements in preparation of the the school-wide "Meet the Candidates" and vote on Monday, November 4. The winning candidate will be on display at the Suffern Library! More info about this to come!
In PE, students are getting ready for the 48th Cross-Country Race on November 2 at Suffern Middle School. Start time is 9AM and registration is 8:30AM. Students should wear Suffern BLUE in grades 2 - 5 from SES and MES!
Take a look at the upcoming events happening next week. Red Ribbon Spirit Week and Fall Festival (wear costumes!). Please remember that masks are not allowed and students should not bring any costume accessories that are imitation weapons. Also, blow-up costumes and anything that is difficult to walk up and down stairs in, should also be avoided. Finally, please do not send in any food or anything to go home with students (trick-or-treat bags, for example). Thank you!
Last but not least, please consider participating in our Trailblazer (career) Day on Friday, December 6th! We would love students to learn from you!
