A Message From Mr. Ladenburger

We’ve had an excellent start to the school year! I hope your children came home eager to share their excitement about the new school year. Just a reminder, tonight is the PTO Back to School Bash. For more details, please see the information below.

Chromebooks

Sometime next week, your child will begin bringing their Chromebook home. Please remind them to charge it every night to ensure it's ready for use each day. It’s also a good idea to have them charge it in a location other than their bedroom. Additionally, please review the information provided below, as we will be going over this with all of our students as well.

Away For The Day

We have been reminding our students that all Portable electronic equipment includes devices such as cell phones, video recording devices, smart watches, iPods, and other electronic devices are not able to be used during the school day and that they must be put away for the day. Please also refrain from texting your child during the day as well. You can always call the main office if you need to get information to your son/daughter.

Community Resource Guide

FSD79 has collaborated with Mundelein School Districts 75 and 120, Fremont Library, Mundelein Parks and Recreation District, and Village of Mundelein to create a shared community resource guide. This document provides families with information on a wide variety of programs and services that each organization offers. To view the recourse guide, please click here.

PTO Back-to-School Bash

Join the Fremont PTO and other families for a night of food, music and fun to kick off the 2024-25 school year on Friday, August 16 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Fremont Intermediate School. Food trucks will be on hand, as well as a DJ, games, and a chance to grab a popsicle from our principals. Be sure to join us for an annual highlight of the school year!

Mass Notification Test - Approximately 5:00 p.m. Tonight

As part of our annual safety and security plans, Fremont School District 79 is conducting a test of its emergency notification system today at approximately 5:00 p.m. Around this time, all families should receive an email, text, and robocall via our Finalsite notification platform. Due to the high volume of messages that need to be delivered, please note that recipients may not receive the notification via all three methods right at 5:00 p.m.

In advance of this test, please be sure that your email address and cell phone number are up to date in TeacherEase. If you do not receive all three notifications, please contact the District via this form. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the email notification in your inbox.

Curriculum Night

The Intermediate School curriculum night will be on Thursday, August 29. Each homeroom teacher will give two identical presentations. Each presentation will be the same so you only need to attend one of them. More details will be communicated after the start of the school year.

Here is a pamphlet and a video that provides an overview of the platform features. Students can go to their Clever Dashboard and select the Varsity Tutors icon to login to the platform. Any chat sessions students participate in are recorded and posted on their dashboard for future reference.

BACK TO SCHOOL BASH

Join the PTO for our Back to School Bash at the NEW Intermediate School playground TONIGHT, August 16 at 5:30 p.m. for food, music, and fun! Check out our flyer for a list of all of the food vendors. We're excited to welcome all of our Fremont families back to campus.

SPIRIT WEAR

Coming soon! Spread school spirit with custom Wildcats gear! This online sale will run from Friday, August 23 - Friday, September 6. NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED! All items are custom-made for you! Once the online sale is complete, items will go into production, which takes approximately 3-4 weeks before being shipped to Fremont. They will then be sent home with your child. Each item is unique and comes from different manufacturers, so please check the sizing guide on each item you are purchasing. AUGUST 23, NO COOK NIGHT!

We’re excited to announce our first No Cook Night of the school year, Friday, August 23 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at Panera Bread, 1575 S. Lake St. in Mundelein. Use code FUNDU at online checkout, in the Panera App, or at the kiosk in-café. See the attached flyer for more details.

PTO MEMBERSHIP/ONLINE DIRECTORY FOR 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

If you already have an account in Membership Toolkit, thank you for creating and/or updating your Membership Toolkit account last year.

If you don't have an account in Membership Toolkit, set it up now for free! Once you have created an account in Membership Toolkit your child will appear in the online directory immediately (that's if you choose to do so). To create an account, go to fsd79.membershiptoolkit.com and follow the directions in the attached form (Online Student Directory Set Up Instructions 2024-2025).

To gain access to the Online Student Directory your account must be active and you must pay the $15 PTO Membership Family Fee. If you paid your PTO Membership fee through your TeacherEase account before June 15th, your payment has been confirmed and you currently have access to the Online Student Directory. If you didn’t pay your PTO Membership Family Fee before June 15th, you can pay the $15 PTO Membership Family fee thru Venmo @Fremont-PTO; or by bringing or sending the attached form with your cash payment or check made payable to Fremont PTO to any school front office. The option to pay the PTO Membership Fee thru your TeacherEase account is no longer available. Once we receive confirmation of your payment, we will give you access to the online directory. Please note it may take up to one week to be granted access to the online directory.

BIRTHDAY BOARD

Celebrate your Fremont Student's special day! "Happy Birthday, Your Child's Name" can appear on the Fremont Electronic Message Board. Just complete the Birthday Board Request Google Form 2024-2025; or complete the birthday board form and send it back to any school front office with your $5 payment per birthday message.
