• Superintendent Dr. Shari Camhi expressed her delight in seeing so many students attending the board meeting.

• The track at Baldwin High School will be open to families and the community when students are not using it, operating from dawn until dusk. The gates will be locked at sunset.
• Dr. Camhi was invited to become a member of the Network of Distinguished Educators, a select group of twenty-four superintendents nationwide who are committed to supporting public schools. They recently met with the U.S. Department of Education to discuss current issues, including the impact of charter schools on public education.

• Lenox Elementary School has been recognized as a 2023–2025 National PTA School of Excellence.
• Steele Elementary School was selected by the National PTA to have a special visit from comedian Keegan-Michael Key in collaboration with Lysol US’s #HereforHealthySchools initiative after the Steele PTA applied for the Lysol US Minilab Science Kits. He surprised the 2nd graders in Mrs. Corinne Kelty’s class with STEM kits.
• Baldwin physical education teacher and girls’ varsity basketball coach, Mr. Tom Catapano, was recently inducted into the Nassau County Athletic Hall of Fame.
• Over the past few weeks, the district has been featured in multiple media outlets, including ABC7, CBS New York, USA Today and The 74. showcasing the important work we are doing here in Baldwin schools.
